How fortunate we are to be the very first to live in a time where we can see images like these! For thousands of years humans have wondered what creatures live in the dark depths of the ocean, with only rare glimpses as animals wash ashore or come up in nets, but now for the very first time we have the technology to see these fascinating and otherworldly creatures in their natural habitat, and all from the comfort of our own homes no less! What an exciting time to be alive!

Because I refuse to buy a new headset, I play this video on the lowest possible volume, so I basically hear nothing and my headset doesn't disconnect. This is the best-in-slot video on the internet. Thanks for saving me 100 bucks on a new headset BBC Earth! You're the real MVP.

We won't and cannot destroy the earth but if the human species doesn't get its act together soon the earth will destroy us ...don't forget who's bigger ..and the only reason we are still here at all is because the earths atmospheric and bio spheric protection against the creeping viruses and plague's that usually do the work of evolution when the earth gets rid of a species...natural selection is about ready to "naturally select to remove protection from us and allow devouring viruses to kill us off ..thus all the earth can finally protect its self from the horrible destructive presence of the human species also create an "antidote to ensure a self defense and so that we can never return ..the planets own natural self defense from the burdensome agonizing historical slavery to its eco system providing and supplying life giving and life saving sustenance to our corrupt and menacing nature .....

@@darlingtonboobam4107 No mate, you can't ask earth to replicate millions of years of Evolution ( and I'm a theist btw) and all the biodiversity that came with it, that just will not happen. If we are wiped out by something, sure animals will survive, but if we keep denying responsability over their well being, than we will, and already have, killed alot of species that will never come back. Also, we have nukes. No biodiversity will ever survive a nuclear holocaust that we are capable of unleashing. We do have alot more control and responsability than you think, and the planet is way more sensitive and detailed in its history and natural evolution than you recognize.

This is truly marvelous! I’m very grateful there are people willing to get into one of those tiny research vehicles, dive down below crush depth - crush depth - to capture these wonderful creatures on video, because I would NEVER do it! In fact, I have to push the thought of being in that thing out of my mind to watch this because it totally gives me the willies!

I play this on background ( in loop , and thanks to Pure Tuber ) while reading newspaper and school book. I really love the water flow & bubble sounds. Soothing, calming, relaxing, oddly satisfying, and for me it boost our focus + concentration . I barely see the content in the video ( just saw the 2 animals in thumbnail lol, because i use background mode ). But for me, no deep sea animal is too creepy, they are just unique in different way

We no more about space than we do our own oceans there will be a hell of a lot more creatures in the depths of the ocean that are still to this day to be discovered some are really out of this world behond beautiful I love the lights on the jellys and the bioluminescence it’s so amazing to see what lies beneath our oceans. That’s what the people should do is go into our oceans only about 5/10% of our oceans have creatures that have just been discovered that’s only a small portion and there is more water than land so just imagine the ones we haven’t seen yet whole different world down there with beautiful animals to be discovered
