by discerning that anything you experience, and anything you could POSSIBLY experience HAS to arise dependent and enclosed within this impermanent, unownable body, such that it becomes inconceivable to even conceive anything that could escape the context of non-ownership.

But that means I have to quit World of Warcraft? Very unfair! My raid needs me.

29:24 It strikes me that Saif is expressing both his and Florian's experience, as they see it, based on their reactions. Is it truly, really, without exaggeration like this? Either one of you, or any stream-enterer, could, if they chose, walk the whole path from where they are and become an arahant, in a mere few months or less - the only hurdle being their unwillingness to practice diligently (as for example, one can say, of Ven. Ananda, who became a stream-enterer, and remained as such for decades, before in a single night, after the Buddha's death, became an arahant)?

The problem we have is, that there are areas in our life where we "actively" go against the Dhamma and for as long as we choose to do that, there won't be Arahantship. When we truly "want", then we stop those actions and the mind will cool off quickly resulting in final liberation. It is our very actions of "fuelling the forge fire" that keeps all of this going. If there is no fuelling, it can be as little as 7 days - so in short: yes

It’s all good, but can the path practically negate illnesses like cancer or a stroke? I don’t think so, look at Thich Nhat Hanh and how much he sufferred with his debilitation

The Dhamma has only one purpose and that would be the eradication of _suffering_ . Suffering exists in _relation_ to such experiences and the Buddha even used deadly illnesses as a motivation to overcome suffering for good. While you cannot remove old age, sickness, and death of the body, you can very much remove the suffering from those experiences. And 100% of that can be removed^^

I think, it is like we are suffering from the pain of two arrows and from the moment of realization, the pain worth one arrow is gone. Second arrows pain becomes impersonal (non-self). Irrespective of your enlightenment stages, the effect of karma will always arrive and you will deal with it with a non suffering mind.
