That was fun. Very thoughtful. Watching my own mind want to elaborate is informative. I think I will go meditate first.

I can imagine you doing a comparable one on Psychology. Your other videos often make distinctions related to procedural (as opposed to conceptual) knowledge. Perhaps one of the hosts of one of the channels devoted to education or learning might chime in with you. Your videos are great. In many ways, you've covered all the relevant material. If you were willing to meet with people who are already meditating but who don't enter the jhanas consistently, maybe they could ask you questions that might help others make progress, too. We never know what might make things "click." I'm so grateful for your effort.

From what I can see , Suttas are manual on how to get out of this mess, not a philosophy . These days, we have 7500 Suttas available, so people tend to study them like philosophy, and that's a mistake. In Buddhas time, there wasn't even one written sutta .

That is something we consistently say here^^ A single good Sutta that suits your character is all you need but you likely have to dig a bit before you find it

Super real understanding "In Buddhas time, there wasn't even one written sutta." Wrong interpretations caused this mess. Merit and Kusalaya (පින සහ කුසලය) are huge mix up.

The Sinhala words "පින" (pina) and "කුසලය" (kusalaya) can be translated to English as follows: "පින" (pina) - Merit or good deeds "කුසලය" (kusalaya) - Wholesome or skillful action These terms are often used in Buddhist contexts to refer to virtuous actions that generate positive karma.
