Fact about point extraction missions: the swarms dont get bigger over time. they stay the same size. its just that more and more stray bugs accumulate so it feels like the waves get bigger the longer you are there, but it is really just associating extra bugs, with the swarms

I'm genuinely surprised that you made it through the Elite Deep Dive, good job! I had a lot of fun with that one. I played a Driller with a bunch of randoms, and ended up with an end screen like yours, minimal downs, tons of eliminations, and my teammates with incredibly high downs. During the second mission my teammates were down more than they were up, the ghost kept sneaking up on them, lol. 1:02 Just so you know, if you hit or shoot each one of the five pirple bubbles of that tree, it will produce light greater than a scout flare for the rest of the time you spend on that mission. It's super cost effective as a free light scorce.

you actually can late re-join on a deep dive but you have to do it through steam. And you can't always do it if certain settings are disabled in your steam settings. Go to players in one of the options in the menu that comes up when you press shift +tab and then go to profile and on the right side usually there is a green button that says "join game." but it isn't there for some if they don't have it enabled for randoms to join up
