I think you should have piled the treasures that fell to the bottom in 3 chips groups.

I've seen friends playing this game and they've thoroughly enjoyed it. Watching your play through, my immediate thought is why did green ditch his treasure on the third run? He knew he couldn't make it back, so surely the tactical thing to do would have been to pick up more treasures in an effort to deplete the air supply faster, so that nobody made it back. That way he could have secured second place.

+Hazel Halliday Hmm you do make a solid point, in retrospect I believe that would have been the best option. Thanks for mentioning it :)

Great video. Just got the came and it did not cost much at all compared with other games. At least you explained that once a player has made it back they stop playing but the others continue for as many goes each until the air runs out. That was not clearly explained in other videos or the rules in other words "once you are home safely you may have to watch others playing a number of times each and you do nothing during this - miss your turns - strangely not boring as schadenfreude creeps in!

Really nice playthrough. Well shot, and I liked your calm, clear and concise explanation. I feel you on the price - I really want to get Fake Artist in New York but with shipping to the UK it's a crazy amount to pay for a box of coloured pens and tiny whiteboards.
@JonGetsGames8 жыл бұрын
+Actualol The boxes for these games are SO tiny as well. I paid something like $34 for Deep Sea Adventure knowing it was a small game but was still shocked at how tiny it was when it arrived. I think I grabbed Fake Artist from amazon for something like $20 and it is quite abit for something so easily replicated with $5 of art store supplies.
@actualol8 жыл бұрын
I think the thing that bugs me the most about Fake Artist is that they don't even tell you what to draw! That's half a drawing game, in my book. It's like releasing Spyfall with a bunch of blank cards and leaving you to come up with the locations. As a rule, I love tiny boxes from a storage point of view. I feel like Deep Sea Adventure is just tiny for the sake of it, and would be a bit nicer if it had more heft. Same reason why I've not gravitated towards the Tiny Epic series. Tiny components for the sake of it isn't appealing. Whereas, a small deck box with full-size cards, is.

Hi, I THINK (not sure) that rules says that you must have at least one treasure to start going up AND you can't get rid of your last treasure, so I think in third round green could not get rid of his last treasure (21:52). Great explanation! and a VERY fun game to laugh playing

I couldn't believe that I found a English retail edition here in the US at a local Barnes & Noble bookstore. Only cost me about twenty dollars which is very surprising granted that I've seen this game costing a lot more than that on the main BBG store website. I was also amazed on how small the package is yet knowing from reading reviews that there's a lotta game packed inside. Being a visual learner and being that you've put up this video show a good play of the game on here, I'll have an easier time explaining the rules to others. Hope I can get a few plays under my belt where I live at, which is a psychiatric specialty nursing home. We need more games like this one in the world :)

I've never played it at 2p, but I imagine it wouldn't be all that great. A big part of the game is jumping over your opponents and I think much of the tension could be lost.

so if i "die" and have 2 runes, then i stack the two at the end, but if the next player dies too and has 2 runes, does he stack those 2 after mine, or does he take one of them and put them on my stack of 2 to make a 3 stack and then start a new stack? thanks your videos are great!
@JonGetsGames8 жыл бұрын
I believe you keep making stacks of 3 before starting new stacks.

Thanks for the play through. Now, where can I get one?
@JonGetsGames9 жыл бұрын
Cardboard Stacker Unsure, I picked it up about 4 days before they went out of stock in Japan. It seems to be getting a decent amount of hype, and another Oink game "Dungeons of Mandom" was recently picked up and rereleased by Ello so it's possible another publisher will give it wider distribution.

How does the 3 stacks work? Shouldn't the drown divers stack chips in multiples of 3?
@JonGetsGames9 жыл бұрын
+Pedro Batista I'm sorry but I don't understand your question.
@pmrbatista19 жыл бұрын
+JonGetsGames For example: If there are 3 divers left outside and no more air. Each diver has 2 treasures. Aren't you supposed to place 2 stacks of 3 treasures in the bottom of the track?

+Pedro Batista Yep that is correct, looks like I did mess that up at around 16:14. I've corrected it, thanks!

Leventa24 can you give me a time stamp? It appears to me that I did move the token for the last turn of the game.
@Leventa249 жыл бұрын
JonGetsGames 23:57 specifically. Upon reflection though I suppose that with only one mark of oxygen left and two ruins tokens, you only take the last one away and get to try for it anyways instead of automatically having to be hauled into the boat. I apologize if thats the case.
