incredibly clever and simple game. The more you play with the same persons, the more you may try to anticipate their choices, and calibrate yours accordingly.

The version we have states that you out treasure after the end. So the instruction seems wrong here

Can you pickup treasure on your way back to the surface. This I don't know. I may have to read the rules again but don't recall seeing it explained whether you can or not. Edit: answer found, you can. But another question arises; when somebody's turn begins and the oxygen Meterr has hit zero, does the round end immediately, or does the player it ended on get 1 turn to make it back, or does everybody get 1 last turn to make it back? If I go by just what the manual says, it would just end immediately and the player would have no chance to roll....

From the rules: "Even when the air falls below 0, the player may finish his or her turn". So if you're the player who uses up the last bit of air, you still get a go.

It sounds great in theory but in reality, the only decision you have to make is going up or down and this decision is in most cases very clear. Plus, there is way too little oxygen. If you play with 4 (or even 3) people, there is no way you dive down for more than two turns. Usually nobody gets even close to the most valuable treasures.

Then you're not playing it correctly. The game is played over 3 rounds and those subsequent rounds it is always possible to reach the bottom treasures.
