@biancastone51604 жыл бұрын
I used to have pretty severe social anxiety and I think the trick to preparing for the next day was talking through base interactions i might have. so for example, ‘i have school tomorrow, i know i can talk to my friends, is there anyone else i might interact with? okay, here is one way of going about that’. obviously that doesn’t help for the non interactional part of that, like walking down halls, but it always helped. and finding a mantra that i could say during those difficult times helped too, so maybe you could spend some time on figuring out something to say to yourself during all of this that doesn’t invalidate what you’re feeling but instead works with it, identifies your strengths, and works for you

I hesitated to play this because I generally need something a little longer, but I've listened to it twice and although I'm vaguely aware that it's suddenly quiet, I've already been asleep for a bit, thanks to your gentle voice.
@julyol1193 жыл бұрын
That was surprisingly effective! Not interesting enough to keep me awake, not boring enough to want to listen to something else and a lot of detailed imagery to lose myself in. Nice!

7th day listening to the story it makes me sleepy b4 15 minutes it's beautiful i suffer from anxiety
@krystalcranston77042 жыл бұрын
I suffer from anxiety too but I’m anxious about how I know I’m being hypnotized. I learned in a psychology how they integrated hypnotic and meditative words to a story, but now all I can do is just listen for the buzz words that I know are trying to tell me what to do and I hate that I can’t just listen like a normal human.

I’ve listened to sleep meditations and stories for years. I have always been a bad sleeper and somethings never right. Whether it be I can’t get comfy or I get comfy and my foot itches or I need or drink or a need the bathroom or I’m too hot or too cold and even I’ve too much duvet I can’t breathe or half the duvets on the floor. Somethings never right. But this. This is something else, thank you so much for helping me sleep I love the stories and hope to see more 💫

I can't believe I found this video again after so long! (Small story time) So when this was more new maybe about a month or so of being posted I was about 11 (now 14) and I have to say this story helped me a lot. During the weekends I went over to my father's place which thankfully I don't any more. I struggled and still struggle with insomnia though it was a lot worse back then so sleeping was already a nightmare for me but I had as set bedtime at my father's and would get in trouble if I wasn't asleep when I was told to go to bed. The bedtime was at about 8pm so super early which just made it even harder. I shared a cramped futon with my two younger siblings and it always reeked of dog because they had like 4 dogs. I'm allergic to dog dandruff and saliva so I was having bad allergies all night to. The futon was a very rough fabric and made me itchy so I'd have to use my blanket too lay on top of. He didn't provide blankets for us though and we had to bring our own from my ma's house which meant we couldn't bring many or really big ones with us. My father preferred to sleep in freezing temperatures so I was always freezing. Huddling up under a small blanket to keep warmth. They didn't provide pillows either but I only had one pillow at the time because the second one that I'd brought over had been torn up by the dogs so I had to make a makeshift pillow with my hoodies. Obviously this isn't a very comfortable environment to sleep in. The light from the bathroom had too stay on as well because my little sister is afraid of the dark unlike me who prefers to sleep in total darkness. My siblings also snored as well as my older brother who slept on a top bunk (there was no bottom bunk) on the other side of the very small room the 4 of us shared. He's extremely loud when he snores as well. I wasn't allowed benadryl or anything after a few nights of using it because I was just 'wasting it' and they wouldn't give me melatonin either? I never found out the reason but I find it absolutely satire that they'd refuse too let me. Anyways I couldn't fall asleep to music at the time because my music taste was very - loud. I listened to heavy metal and rock so not something I could fall asleep to. I figured hey why not try a bedtime story? I had heard they really help people of all ages to sleep. I had searched a few but none really seemed to help. Either they were to boring and I'd get distracted (having adhd that's very easy for me too do) or they were to interesting to the point I'd hyperfocus and refuse to fall asleep until I heard the ending. When I came across this one though it was like a match made in heaven. I listened for about 10 minutes and was so engaged yet not all that eager to see how it ended and had fallen asleep. This was instantly my go to for an entire year and it really did help a lot. Though I stopped listening after awhile and don't really know why. I just didn't need it anymore I guess? Now that's changed though. I've been struggling a lot with sleeping again and remembered this and how much it helped me. I kid you not I scrolled for over half an hour trying too remember what the cover image and title was but I finally found it! Small add on but I honestly felt even more content with listening to this after I finally heard the ending because I'd always fall asleep around the same time. It's really such a beautiful story

Thank you Jason, I am about to go to sleep, with this, and I am wanting also to tell you that I am able to type again for myself, left hand-my ring finger! I was not expected to live! Ha! ♥. I was aware as they talked about this, nurses, Doctors even the cleaners! Alistair, wasn't having it! And he left me with your meditations, when he was sent home. I am certain that listening to your uploads, helped me! Rather than listening to the medical staff! -And their opinions expressed, I could hear them, I am so happy to be here still! ♥~Good night, and I will be able to paint again! ♥.Andréa.X.
