You nailed the idea of this being the "Sunset over Europa". I love how you kept the original somber & melancholic touches of Deep Stone Lullaby, but rather than mimicking the contrasted piano with the strings, you opted for the more rounded sound that of the full brass group in unison with the piano part still fitting within the ensemble until the climax hits. That round sound makes all the difference & this is a beautiful translation of Deep Stone Lullaby. Keep up the great work man, all of your work has been incredible!

Thanks for taking such interest. Brass often does the heavy lifting with big soundtracks, so I wanted to showcase how it can start small and grow.

You know, not much can bring me to tears these days. I see all manner of horrid things in my line of work, and I know it's not even the worst. And I think it's changed me to the point that not much can move me on an emotional level. But this. This brings back a little bit of humanity in me. As a brass player, as a Destiny player, as just another person in front of a screen, this is amazing.

Glad to hear you connected with this. We all need a moment sometimes to reflect that we are human and to feel emotions and connect in some way with others gives us strength.

This is if deep stone crypt was set on Earth or Moon and not Europa. It has a more "down to Earth" (very much intended) like the songs that play when you finish one of the campaigns.
@jamesthistleton2 жыл бұрын
Yes, down to earth, I like that description. I think its part due to the natural instruments and no electronics.

I remember seeing someones comment being "Sunset over Europa" but for me it's the opposite. I think this song perfectly encapsulates "Sunrise". Think about it like this. You're sitting down somewhere preferably at the top of a roof where nothing obstructs your vision of your surroundings. At the start of the song the sky is somewhat a bit bright by then, faintly illuminated by the distant stars and perhaps foreshadowing the arrival of something. Slowly getting brighter, around the 1:56 mark the first signs of the sun appearing, seeing that orange hue slowly rising out of the horizon. Then at 2:27 thats when the first sunray hits you. That beam of light shining everything around you. As the music sounds ever more grandiose and heroic you stare at the sun as it slowly rises up from the horizon.
