Got the Apache short time ago. Trim is helping a lot with self centering stick before entering one of the hold modes. Always be very gentle with the collective. Never lower or raise it fast, this is key to controlled maneuvers, as I've learned. Over torque or RPM low/high conditions are an indication of abrupt collective movements.

I have this module since it was released but I was intimidated by the trim functions. It was very unfriendly compared to my 800 hours experience in the Mi-8 MTV2. Thanks to this fantastic description of yours now I can fly it with comfort. Many thanks Deephack! 😊

You need to get the aircraft trimmed out and stable before you can engage the hold modes in a hover
