Blackmore is a fantastic guitar player but I guess he has not many friends in the business because of his bad character. I love Simon too! I saw them live again in 2022 and he played fantastic. Their new record also is a bull's eye for me. I'm looking forward seeing them again in Oktober.🥰

I remember when this album came out. A reawakening of sorts. They conquered their demons and animosities long enough to not only show they could still do it but they could still kick some ass. So many bands miss the mark trying to prove their relevance with mediocre displays of musicianship and weak material. These guys still had songs to write and gigs to play and they weren't phoning anything in. Mean Streak, Knocking at Your Back Door, Perfect Strangers and the rest are each individually excellent songs and together they make up an album that is hard to beat from beginning to end. Love them. Love this.

Был у них на концерте в 1984 году, служа в Польше в г. Вроцлаве. Сбежал в самоволку, под страхом увольнения, попал в этот день на второй концерт, который проходил в огромном театре ХАЛЕ ЛЮДОВЕ --- ДРУЗЬЯ, В ЖИВУЮ ЭТО ЧТО ТО НЕВООБРАЗИМОЕ. МУЗЫКА И ГОЛОС СОЛИСТА ПРОНИЗЫВАЮЩИЕ ТВОЕ ТЕЛО, ГДЕ БЫ ТЫ НЕ НАХОДИЛСЯ В ЗАЛЕ, .. САМ ЗАЛ.... ЭТО БОМБА...!!!! ЭТО НЕОПИСУЕМО....!!!!! НАСТОЯЩИЕ ЛЕГЕНДЫ И ЕСТЬ ЛЕГЕНДЫ!!! СЛУШАЮ ИХ СЕЙЧАС И КАК БУД- ТО, НА ИХ КОНЦЕРТЕ БЫЛ ВЧЕРА!!! ...

@@СВЯТОЧНС Повезло тебе, старший брат!)- А мне довелось слышать их уже без Блэкмора и Лорда - в Одессе в 2008-м. Но на гитаре был Стив Морс, а на клавишах Дон Эйри - так что зал они все вместе качнули так, что я смело могу сказать, что такого классного концерта я никогда и близко не слышал. И Гиллан был на высоте - вытягивал все свои старые вещи с жёстким вокалом, типа Into The Fire... - я очень рад, что видел и слышал этих легендарных музыкантов, которых ещё на кассетах слушал..)

Это единственная группа, которая со временем становится только интересней. Как музыкант-любитель, я не знаю ничего более интересного, многогранного, виртуозного, информативного, мелодичного, мощного, чем музыка DP. С 1985 года живу с DP в голове и в сердце.
