One should not underestimate the power of water. For safety of vehicle one should not venture to wade through water, if water level is more than half the height of your tyre. DRS, you took a big risk with your new and expensive bike, ingress of water in engine would have seriously damaged the bike, which would have been a very expensive proposition too. Lucky you, nothing happened and you took the right decision to go by car. All the very best with your trip and moto vlogging dear.

Commenting to help others. Coming from years of experience in driving in waterlogged Mumbai roads. This is also useful in shallow river crossing if you go offroad. Silencer me by default paani nahi jaati. because silencer is pushing out air. Even if submerged it won't go in. IF.. very big IF. you can not let go or reduce the throttle. Depending on the engine you get a little micro/mili second buffer even if little goes in it will be pushed out. but if RPM falls drastically and water rushes into the silencer. Hindi me toh back ho jaana bolte hai don't know what it is in English. So even in river crossing or such streets. you can do this for 50-100m stretch. so that you can relax throttle asses the road ahead. For shallow river you get to pick the shortest path. In such gallis what you want to do is ride across. Lets se you're starting from left side. If on right side there is some slope/ garage entry where there is less water. so only that short distance. go in high rpm in one go. stop . find similar path and do. Takes time but long term it is a cost saver. and it is better to be safe than sorry.

I think it was a very wise call that you didn’t take the bike and rather went by car. And rightly said the water wading capacity of the BMW is any given day more than Honda’s. I think the reason for the comments are mainly because we were much more attached to Kaalu given it’s flexibility and versatility. It will take some time for us all to get attached to our new giant but we eventually will 😊. Waiting for your next adventure

@deepranjansachan ....This is the issue of throttle sensor. When water enters there. Im currently facing same issues in my KTM adventure. When i wash directly in engine. Bike dont start. But after 2 to 3 hrs when water dries . Throttle works properly. And bike runs in smooth condition. So now i have stopped washing directly in engine or the throttle body.

Your vlogs are really good bro .One small advice , when the bikes engine is on , don’t do anything with chain, sprocket , wheels . I have seen many hand injuries due to sudden movement of wheel and chain. Switch off the engine and do it . Take care

Bro mistake is you could have parked ur bike in ur friend's place to avoid riding in water. Just that it's BMW there is no guarantee that it will take in anything. 3 times riding in hard level water would sucked water inside AIR BOX which has access to engine. Anyways hope the bike gets repaired

Keep the throttle constant. Don’t put in/out the throttle. Control ur bike with clutch and brakes not with throttle. In that way u might save ur bike from water logged area.

I am very very big Fan of you (Deep Raj Sachan), the day I started to watch your channel, I never skipped a single video. I watch your channel because of your way of bike vlogging, it is completely sacred and pure. You do it with your heart. BUT, I really didn't like the performance of BMW, being a bike rider, I felt that, this bike (BMW) is meant only for Highways not for all terrains. Your BMW was struggling during your Zanskar trip in comparison to KTM 390 Adventure and when it is about going through water, I saw in your video, at the places where your BMW was struggling, at the same places other even small 100CC bikes were passing through without any struggle. This bike has a lot of electronics which is good as well as bad also for adventure rides. The benifit of electronics/sensors is that it secure the bike against any major damage. At the same place disadvantages of sensors is that you CAN NOT ride it RAW wherever and however you want. It was my opinion for your BMW bike. But now let's talk about you, YOU ARE THE MOST HAPPIEST, ENERGETIC, OPTIMISTIC, CHEERFUL, MOTIVATED and the list goes on PERSON, I have ever seen on KZbin. Even I think you are more Motivated than Sandeep Maheshwari himself 😊. I always seen you smiling and you are so much passionate about bike riding. I am also an engineer who loves to bike ride, I get motivated watching your vlogs. ❤❤ For your love towards Bike riding

Never race your bike in flooded water ...yezdis in old days the silencer was almost low that while turning they used to screech against road. Just like normal way keep driving at usual pace ...and the bike will wade through flooded sitations. By pushing the acceleration to high mode all you do is more amount of water is displaced at the end of silencer and while you decrease the water just gets into silencer.
