Overall this is great, just a few small things: 1. Pretty sure arch said that primal vesp is not the ancestor of gaynmedes and vesperians, but just what it’s name says. 2. I feel like it should be mentioned how the regent is a tyrant, basically doing whatever neccecsary to maintain control, an npc in etris docks mentions how one of his policies stopped canors from entering the city, and there’s much more. It just dealt wrong making it sound like he was a well approved leader .

Oh and also, the zweihander mentions a possible unmet faction called the “canor borderwatchers”, probably not worth mentioning though. 4.The summer company and the authority might start having beef each other, as the summer company crate turn-in npc mentions how the authority isn’t sending them guards like they’re supposed to, and that they might cut off their gunpowder supplies soon. (Maybe cuz the authority stole the secrets on how and don’t need the company anymore?)

A little clarification on the hives leadership: Each greathive consists of ONE hivelord, these hivelords are known as 'governers' of said greathive, with Zirithi being classed as the "Great Lord of the Hive". Unlike hivelords which only command one greathive, Zirithi is in total control of all 4, as the main leader of the hive.

As the owner of the DW Lore Hunters, I'm very impressed by how many things the video got right! The only inaccuracies are the Whalers time stop, which is actually an Oath magic, and Etrea being a global superpower. Its more akin to a regional powerhouse, with the Hive, Authority, and Legion being the global superpowers. But generally still, a great video to introduce people into the lore of this game!

btw, some clarification for the central authority is that they're beefing with etrea due to the lord regent's power (he could literally stand up and cause the second horror) and they're trying to neutralize it in some sort of way, it is also implied in the gideshu march and their grip quotes that they have a "cause" they're doing this, it is still not clear but i think they want to prevent a second horror happening

My theory of this Authority, Legion and Etran thing is: The Central Authority and the Legion allied to each other to assassinate the Lord Regent and prevent another Celtor, the Legion discovered that the Authority had second intentions and would conquest Etrea afterwards, breaking the balance of power in the world, now the Legion broke thr alliance and is trying to prevent the Central Authority to conquer Etrea by weakening them, but in that way the Lord Regent won't die so easily Also not too much related to that: Pleeskt was a western luminant and as the legion and the central Authority were allied at that time, he joined the divers and stayed on the divers. Also the Khans discovered that the Authority had secondary intentions because they were capturing navaens and trying to conquest the southern and northern luminants

I really hope that with the intruction of Layer 2 we get new content. There's no single game on Roblox that has a decently developed lore, most of the times if you remove all the extra stuff (like in the case of rogue) it is bad guys vs good guys. When in reality there is no good or bad guys, just people with different ideas. Deepwoken lore has the ability to bring something new to Roblox, maybe to share a message, or tell us an amazing story that we'll never forget.

The Authority has the best characters and base lore. It's more expanded upon and allows you to infer more from characters. Kelsius is the Librarian at the Temple of the Blade. He gives us an interesting look at the authorities' internal affairs and how it affects it's own soldiers. At one point, Kelsius was a Thundercaller in an Authority fleet, sent to crush 'insurgents'. These people weren't actually causing any harm with combat or force, but often simply peacefully protesting. Regardless, he and his troop had to keep on killing and beating them with Thundercall and carry on weaponising the song. Often, these were carried out in private under the premise of an interrogation'. We see this in the Thundercaller talent cards which shock the opponent, which were created and devised by the Authority. After a while (because of the emotional stress and realising what he's actually doing) Kelsius ditches his badge and makes his way (hitchhiking) to wherever. He ended up at the Vigil temple (the guys he was fighting as part of his old job) but isn't killed or beaten. Instead, Maestro takes him in because of his proficiency in the song and ability to recall information (learned from doing some traumatising shit). Some people have still tracked him down, and remember his past. One includes the character known as 'Khan' who is found under the Etris woods in a hut. He was a victim, and had someone murdered by Kelsius. His guard was probably involved too, a sort of gentle giant. Probably because he had brain damage from extensive blunt trauma at the hands of the Authority. Khan didn't hand in a book, as a plot to lure Kelsius to a place where they can murder and pay him back for what he did in the past. Kelsius already knows this, so he sends you under the premise of a quick job. It wasn't, because you end up getting knocked unconscious. He's apologetic though, so he uses his proficiency in the song to teach you new mantras instantly as a reward upon catching up with him (with the overdue books). Warden Jericho was a significant figure in the Authority. He was a Warden, but at some point was deployed to Erisia. Here, he went through a mental struggle. Warden Jericho committed suicide, likely from jumping into the borehole beneath the Temple, next to his Journal (strength uncap). You read in his diary that he's emotionally torn between fulilling his duty to the Authority and his Duty to the world (the Journal speaks about the Lord Regent and what Etreas' doing, and how the Authority will indirectly cause a great drowning by involving itself with Etrea's affairs). He probably did this due to a mix of: 1. Seeing all of his friends and family die in another Great Drowning. 2. Being one of the causes that CAUSES this Great Drowning (would make him responsible for the deaths of civillians and people he knows and loves). 3. Having to brutally suppress 'insurgents' across the map (Kelsius- the Librarian at Vigils, ex-authority member, goes into detail about this, and how the Authority literally goes around killing and beating up anyone who speaks out against them. This extends to peaceful demonstrations and movements which simply clash with their ideology). In real life, a human brain literally can not handle killing a huge amount of people directly. This is why the N4zis ended up creating death camps because their troops couldn't handle the strain of watching so many people die. 4. Realising this his INSANE brute strength can't solve all of his problems. He could probably beat most of the characters in a one-on-one fight, his words alone and the aura he left behind is enought to make you incredibly strong. But shortly before he took his own life he realised that he was powerless in the grand scheme of things, no matter how much he can lift. We read in the diary that he says 'Easy. Stop being a wimp.' and 'You no need book. You have big muscles'. When he started writing, that was probably when he started realising. Thats why the Journals (presumably) last entry was so short.

6:01, If contractors made a deal with a drowned god (most likely Yun'Shul), then there is a chance that they must be bell users. If that is so, then this explains why you can only get your bell in the depths, and not the overworld, because drowned gods are gods that are trapped in the depths, and the only way to make a deal with a drowned god is, of course, being knocked in the depths. I know this second part sounds crazy, but bear with me. If you cannot achieve your bell while not being knocked, then your character must make a contract with a drowned god out of panic so that they could save their own life, get full hp, and receive a bell. I am not going to make up an educated guess on what the drowned god's part of the contract is, but I am going to try to make a guess on why you cannot get your bell with no bell progress, what I think is that the drowned gods do not see you as worthy to make a contract with you. Thus, which is why you cannot get a full hp pack as a freshie and get a bell out of nowhere.

The Authority are one of the only races not associated with an animal which makes them interesting. And unlike the other races, they specifically utilize the three core elements of the song. Thundercallers are interrogators. They are dispatched to capture and interrogate people or torture them. Frostdrawers are high ranking commanders. They're dispatched for more high level stuff like dealing with the Hive Golems. Flamecharmers are Prison Guards. They are used to maintain order within prisons. All three serve a unique function. One gathers information, one expands influence and the last maintains order. It seems like they figured out uses for these. Unlike the Etreans who even made their own attunement which is galebreath.

The new contractor oath has revealed some more about contractors and the lord regent, we can assume that you don't become a contractor by making a deal with the drowned god, the 4th prophet named zi'eer will employ you instead. however due to the ministry's secretive nature, not allowing normal people to converse with such beings, maybe more powerful contractors (such as the lord regent) can make you a contractor as a proxy of zi'eer. if the lord regent is this powerful imagine what the prophets or the leader of the ministry could do

I got a theory about layer 2 + the depths Basically i think that if the ministry gets the world to sink that's when layer 2 will be there, as you can see in layer 2 preview it's above the sky because of the clouds down (Don't really take this serious please it's literally just a theory that went to my head while watching the video)

I want to clarify that the "Speed Gates" weren't actually constructed by the Ignition Union. Rather, it was constructed and maintained by "The Golden Link", a company of thundercallers that was originally formed within Markor. (This was written in the book called "Lumen's Folklore: Volume" it talks about what attunements are and what they are commonly used for in our daily lives).

Can anyone confirm that there is no dialogue with the Ministry NPCs at their spawn location? I spent about 40 minutes at Summer Isle getting their reputation up and despite that they still agro onto me and kill.
