I'm over the big buck hunting, nobody is going to care if its a doe when they're eating your venison. Don't apologize for feeding your family and friends. As the old saying goes, "don't pass on the first day what you're willing to harvest on the last day". Congrats on the ethical harvest and successful 2023 season!

Ive never been super particicular over taking bucks vs doe. I'm just an average dude that hunts public land, and seems to have less and less time to spend it the woods every year so I'll take whatever presents me with a good shot as long as it doesn't have spots. It all tastes the same and trying to hunt in 3 states and paying for out of state tags makes the tag soup expensive 😂

@warhawkoutdoors6938 I'd argue that a doe taste better anyway. But I'm on the same thought path. I'm not picky. I just like venison.

Dad always said, “ya can’t eat antlers.” I hunt for meat in the freezer. Thanks for a real hunting video!

Are you guys in Minnesota? Love the historical deer camps. You really appreciate it when it’s gone. Many of the old guys have passed on, some of the young guys too. Been quite a few years now.i Harvey own land and its great but it’s just different!

Yessir hunting central Minnesota. We've definitely noticed that there are less and less deer camps on the public lands every year. Used to see a camper or wall tent on any pull off on the roads there and now it's just every couple miles but there seems to be just as many hunters.

Glad you had a successful hunt and got a deer. Every deer wantonly and legally taken is a trophy, a good memory of success. Good luck in the future.

No issue shooting a doe. It’s actually good management of the herd, too many get stuck on, gotta get my buck at all costs and never shoot doe. Not a good way to keep doing it. Congrats on a fine harvest! Got the monkey off your back

What state are you in? Camped and hunted this year. Pretty cold in WIS. I need to build a tee pee tent. Made a stove already.

We hunt Minnesota. If you're looking into buying a tipi you can never go wrong with seek outside. They are spendy but worth every penny
