I hunt 2 wooded funnels of about 3 acres each surrounded by crop ground. Some of the biggest bucks I've ever seen use those funnels. Overlooked by many wanting to hunt a forest.

I saw the tick video. I had one on me yesterday?barly stuck. Thanks fot the info. Ive been hiking in the thick woods all year. I have jumped the same buck 4 times in the same bed. He keeps?comong back. This is a north wind spot. Really thick behind him and he can smell the other way. I saw him yesterday in velvet Like a 130 inch ten point. Just some info. They will come back if spooked a lot.

I wonder if the bucks like to bed around that pond dam because of the thermal air currents in the evening. In theory the pond water temp will rise throughout the day which will draw in cooler air as the sun goes down. That puts the buck in a position to make a smart move when he decides to move in the evening as the cooler air around the pond will be funneling right to the deer. Thoughts?
