You're not kidding when you say the old trail is dangerous. I haven't been very many times, but two of those times were after a good snow. With all of the spray from the waterfall, you just about needed crampons to get back out. Same with Foster Falls under those conditions.

We did the old trail back before the Deerlick Community/Retreat area was built. It was super sketch! I would love to see it in snow.
