Robert, growing up in Winter Haven back in the 70s, I miss going out gator hunting. Of course, back then, you couldn't keep them, but every once in a while, we would take one home. I'm so glad we weren't caught because that's poaching. But back then, they would not let you harvest a gator. They wanted to build the population back up. I remember one weekend I took off from my house to drive 7 lakes over, past Cypress Gardens to 2 more lakes to pick my friend up to bass fish and he had shot a 16 footer off his dock that had just killed his dog. He dragged it into the Grove next to his house that his father owned. He pulled the teeth and claws and dug a hole with the tractor and rolled it in to bury it. I walked on it from head to tail. Awesome feeling .

I used to hunt gators in a 4000 acre orange Grove. We used .357 magnum lever action rifles to remove their brain cap. They all went to the gator processor, well almost all of them😁

Fried Alligator Balls Ingredients 1 pound finely chopped or ground alligator meat 2 small eggs 1 Tablespoon dehydrated minced onion 1 Tablespoon dried parsley 2 Tablespoons dried chopped garlic 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper or Old Bay seasoning 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs Flour Oil Directions Mix all ingredients together except flour and oil. Form 1 inch balls. Roll balls in flour. Heat oil in a skillet. Fry balls until golden brown. Serve with ranch dressing or cocktail sauce.

Love the videos my friend. We or i mean my wife and i. We don't hunt alligators but love to fish. Most our fishing is on local rivers. We bought a little 14 boat. Put a trolling motor on it and a fish finder. Lights and anchor locks on to. Like always run out of ready cash so don't have a motor. But still can fish when the water goes down again. Lot of rain here in SC. After we get a motor it will open up more fishing areas. Love your videos keep them coming. Glad to see you back doing the fish and hunting God bless.

I know you or Gabe went through it a long time ago, but I can't find it. Can you explain the chicken baiting again since it's still season? Do you rig it to float or sink? Fresh or spoiled some? Hook size, with or without weights? Are certain cuts better to stay rigged? That sort of thing. It would make good content for alot of guys. Many thanks! (Side note: You can already tell that pup is going to have great lines when he's grown. I love alligator! Used to go too a restaurant in Myrtle Beach that had an awesome "pop corn alligator" appetizers. Loved it. I was in florida about 7 years ago and I had a fried alligator Basket. Its a really good meat!
