I am from Guam now living in Georgia and this Rota series you posted made me feel homesick. The warmth they showed you and their welcome attitude is a true island style along the CNMI. I love this trip series. When I was in the navy, I was stationed in Guam, and these videos are a great reminder of the hospitality of the Chamorro people.

I LOVE all your videos, but this one is my favorite! When I was stationed in Guam, which I believe to be the largest island in the Marianas chain, I had always hoped to visit Rota, Saipan and Tinian islands. Some of the most greatest and gracious people in the world, live in those islands.

I'm now 24 and have missed hunting with my father for the past three years cause I moved to California. I miss my father greatly and these videos mean a lot to me. Every principal you go by my father has always lived by. I love these videos and everything you stand for. You're amazing.

@@austinalouis Very true, most of what he prepares does seem healthy and light. Unfortunately, I spend nearly 70 hours a week sitting behind a steering wheel, so even what he eats is too much and not easily accessible. I now only eat raw vegetables and fresh fruit and those only in very small quantities. Getting back down to where I was years ago in the service is more challenging now, then basic training EVER was. Lol

Dude, I loved the Rota series! This was really great. I used to live in the Pacific and this was making me super nostalgic. I wasn't sure if you were aware or not but the sambar deer isn't indigenous, it was introduced. They're native to southern Asia. Regardless, I appreciate you making these videos and I'll definitely share with my friends. Congrats!

Mama had a pepper plant like she always put them in a bottle with vinegar to make pepper sauce for collards & greens, beans . Sorry you got the pepper by mistake that definitely will set you on fire but if you’d known you could put a table spoon of sugar in your mouth & held it like snuff it would have helped emensley. You know, this is why I love this channel. As much as I like other channels as well they just don't have this kind of content. The interaction with locals and cooking. Nothing puts smiles on faces like full bellies. All you get on other channels is the hunt and the massive trophy on some farm where they grow em big it seems. We love your channel and watch your videos most days. I watch for the recipes to cook for my Husband who is from Rota and is pk's uncle is an avid hunter and fisherman, watches to learn new things sometimes and he just loves watching about outdoors. He misses Rota so much. I've learned a lot of recipes and got to see all of the wonderful places in the CNMI that he is always telling me about. He wants so badly to bring me there to show me first hand, but well it's so expensive. God willing someday we will make it there. We love you guys. Thank you for great content, especially about CNMI. Thats a VERY asian stir-fry method of cooking deer meet! We do exactly that- spring onion + ginger with beef slices too, tenderized and brushed with a little bit of flour to give a smooth mouthfeel. Also note that in stir frying, there is little browning of the meat. I'm fascinated to see something so close to asian culture in this remote island. Big love :)
