Great video, the lamb and turkey looked amazing! I just bought a 35 quart Engel cooler and took it camping last week, and wow, super impressed! It created a seal tighter than what my freezer does! I really miss when my family was younger and having these kind of family Thanksgivings. Awesome!

And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, .....you post this. Just think of how much better we'd ALL be if 'Thanksgiving' was a WORLDWIDE tradition. JUST ONE DAY when we ALL stopped and gave thanks for all we have been blessed with.

God is real or not , you actually never know plus that's actually offensive to some christians so keep your mouth shut about religion I'm not trying to be rude but that's kinda offensive to some people

I couldn't care if it's offensive or not, religion is stupid, sad, and funny how the gullible and vulnerable people fall for it. So you keep your mouth shut you dero

Apart from getting together with friends and family, saying grace is what touched me the most, being human most of the times especially when we are happy we forget God and we only turn to him during our bad times. I see in your videos you've never missed out saying grace before having food, thank you for such an inspiration. Good bless your family.

Very cool! I've been told lamb isn't a popular choice in the US and is expensive. We're spoiled for it here in Australia, and myself, even more so. What you just cooked would cost me US$15 worth of homemade whiskey (legal here), which is 12 x 700ml bottles, direct to the farmers I know. Price is the same if I want it cut into chops, roasts and racks, too. It's been awhile since I've seen anyone openly spit-roast over coals, to be honest. But that's probably due to the circles I hang with. As we kill the sheep ourselves, we take the fatty stomach lining and wrap the carcass with it. Butchers throw that away. It slowly melts over the lamb and adds flavour while keeping it moist. We don't even baste it. Those side flaps (flank) that were crunchy on yours are soft on ours. We also build our own roasters using a 44 gallon drum. Cut in half, add hinges, put in a rack, just like an oven. Fits a lamb nicely. Runs on LPG (propane) which is easy to rig up. Easiest way is to use a burner from an old BBQ. We don't even bother turning it, just sit it on the rack. A whole lamb is done in around 3-4 hours and the meat is literally falling off the bone. Thanks for sharing your day! I won't ask if you had a happy one.... you clearly did :-)
