This along with the corn video, should show people that these kids need strict parenting. Idc how mad your kid is, don’t give her a phone at a young age, don’t let them stay outside long. Or without parental supervision, and don’t introduce them to Hollywood.
@dalvinalcide4555 ай бұрын
What difference Is that going to make. that's just going to make them more Miserable, more likely to develop depression and anxiety. Kids of strict parents are more likely both to be bullied and to be bullies. They have lower self-esteem and are easier targets for bullies

Yeah they know who to play with because in our community our parents are really strict like even if we decided to go somewhere they wanna know (who going to be there, where it’s going to be at, do you need to be supervised) like that’s just them being protective and showing us that they care and wanna make sure that we will be safe 💕🫶🏾
@react2reactions2465 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t say that’s a race specific thing. Lots of white parents are strict about that kind of thing too, and I also just made a comment about the parents of R. Kelly’s victims. Lots of irresponsible parents in all different races and communities.
@itsbrittbritt41835 ай бұрын
"We don't leave your kids around grown strange men all day." Imma play devils advocate....but parents do that everyday outside the industry on a regular basis. Actually most parents leave their kids around adults they THINK they know all the time. School, daycare, summer camps, even dropping them off at a regular first job a fast food place, etc.... so its not hard to believe that since their kids got more successful, then they feel more trusting of the professionalism of the team that's helping their child....thusly making them feel more comfortable leaving their child there. A lot of parents are manipulated and "groomed" as well. Its not just black and white....there's always a gray area that's ignored.
@Shyknit5 ай бұрын
Yeah I was gonna say, some instances are ridiculous but just the idea of leaving your kid (along with other kids there too) around a bunch of different people on set is different than say flying them out to that person's home for one on one, the latter screams red flags whereas the first I could see a naive parent thinking "they're on set around a bunch of other people they should be fine/better off"

@BruceLigno5 ай бұрын
I agree with the parents should be on set, but to be fair, it's another thing like sports/after school activities; Most parents are not going to be there since there are supposed to be "responsible" adults present or they're at work. Also, kids aren't supposed to be on set for long periods of time - I think it was upwards of at most 7 hours for 15-16 year olds a day; less for those younger. At that point, I would honestly think my child is old enough to not be supervised, or at least say something if something weird happened, because these sets did have a group of children, so it would make sense for *someone* to say something. Ofc, this is a case-by-case basis, and some parents are trash, so there's that.
@react2reactions2465 ай бұрын
Honestly, I find it a lot easier to understand how parents were ok having their kids in this environment, than the ones who would let their kids be unsupervised around recording artists like R. Kelly.

@@johnathanelizalde4909 I’m gonna assume you’re Gen Z, so I’m not taking your unnecessarily bitchy tone personally. But I didn’t say I thought it was ok or responsible; I said I can understand how it happened. See, what we used to do in the olden days, is try to understand that ppl make mistakes, acknowledge they were wrong, but not banish them as an irredeemable soul. It worked well, bc inevitably we would make a mistake at some point, and then we’d be grateful that other people had some empathy. I realize that you’ve already lived 20 or so years, and therefore know all there is to know about life, but I thought I’d explain.
