Jeannette's journey with Nickelodeon broke my heart she was my favorite on iCarly she had an E.D and had to eat all that food. She lost her Mom and only had a couple of days off and then had to go back to work. If anyone hasn't read I'm Glad My Mom died I highly recommend it. The book is well written and tells everything that happened in her life before during and after Nickelodeon and she didn't hold back on anything.

Look at the smile on Dee face when she see Keenan and kel and good burger. Man they really touched all our childhoods

Disney and Nickelodeon for sure… but Cartoon Network rarely worked with actual kids so I doubt anything was going on over there. It was mostly adult voice actors except for one or two shows.

45:27 Some people believe that blind item is about Victoria Justice because during the latter seasons of the show Victorious, despite being the title character, she was noticeably reduced in her scene appearances on the show (she became an adult during the first season’s run) and the one who would be the alleged person getting a show created for them would be AG (who became an adult halfway through s2 being aired), because in Jennette’s book, she suggests that she (Jennette) was originally offered her own show and then sometime afterward in development, it became a buddy comedy with AG

6:20 just because it's common doesn't make it right. Kids don't choose to be here, and if they do something wrong, explain to them. Beating kids 70% of the time has negative long-term consequences.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles in the 2000s, when all of this was happening at its peak, and I remember wanting to act on Disney or Nick really badly--like I lived 20-30 min away from where they were filming so it wouldn't have been that much effort to do so. I did auditions here and there, even had an agent wanting to sign me, and my mom was very open to it (she was naive and so was I), but for some reason I just couldn't bring myself to do it? Like, the opportunity was RIGHT there, I literally could've been on any of these shows, but something was stopping me mentally. Now, I see why, it was my intuition, but obviously at the time I didn't know that, I was a kid. I've had many classmates, friends who were actually on iCarly, Victorious, random Disney shows etc, like I was really blessed to have been born here and have these opportunities. Anyway, long story short, I'm not sure where I would be now if I had gone through with it, or if I would even still be here. I had/have no father figure, it was just me and my mom, so I essentially would've been a super easy target. Luckily I'm grown now and have experienced a lot, and having all this come out it's definitely getting better. Today I'm in the entertainment industry, but still very cautious, it's very weird out here, but this is what I want to do and unfortunately there are freaks in this business. Though, you can say that about any industry, Hollywood is just on a bigger scale so we hear about it more. This video made me so uncomfortable, I can't bring myself to watch Quiet on Set, it hits too close to home. It's so heartbreaking knowing all our favorite childhood stars went through this, and we were none the wiser. Thanks for reacting to this Dee, it really helps with the awareness. This world is so so dark, I wish it wasn't like this, but, alas...

And this is one person, literally most of the industry does these things and nobody knows. Mainly because the families don’t have the same amount of money and power as these people so most of the time the case would be dropped.

Every time i watch a video of Dan and his attitude towards the kids behind the scenes, I feel like he tries to BE one of the kids, like he thinks he's the same age as them and they're his friend so he tries to be the cool funny guy. Like wtf😬😬 He seems to forget that he's an adult and they're minors, he shouldn't even be getting close to them like that.
