I am a great fan of SPB Sir and he is one of my all time favorites. This song is one of SPB's favorites too. But sorry to say he could not match Rafi ji. But still SPB is a legend and will always remain one of my all-time favorites. You have to listen to the original to understand why I am saying so. But SPB doesn't have to be Rafi. He has his own style and he is best being himself. He is a legend too and one of the all time greats

Gopal Sir .. simply superb orchestration under your conducting. That Sarangi tone and the way played along with the precise toned and honed percussions were just tooo good to the ears. A real treat indeed. What can we say about SPB Sir .. he was exuberant in singing this favourite Rafi song of his with all the expressions and briga variations unleased at the right spots to further embellish this song.
