Great video ! Excellent photography and narration. That lamb lunch really got to me- I nearly drooled watching :) You two make a great KZbin team. I’m excited to watch some more!

Thank you! That campsite by the creek is only an hour or so from home. That area is like Moab without the crowds. For any overlander driving past Grand Junction, CO on I-70 this is a fun and convenient area to explore.

My wife and I have started to do a lot of overlanding in our Sprinter. You go more remote than we have as of yet but we’ll get there. Your videos are scenic yet raw which adds a lot of character in a good way. Watched all the way through. And great decision to turn around. If you feel in anyway uncomfortable about a route, thats the smartest move you can make especially when you guys are alone. And wow, the lunches your wife makes…!

Thanks! Hopefully we can inspire van travelers to explore remote areas. In the overlanding space on KZbin there is only us and Chad with Living the Van Life and his tricked out Sprinter showing van potential. Katya's gourmet wood fire cooking will probably be in every video. This week I'm working on a video of her best accomplishments so far. At home almost every meal is gourmet and creative.

Very interesting geology. Amazing scenery. Nice driving. As far as gnarly goes, defeat is simply victory postponed for another day..

We travel all over the Colorado Rockies and south Utah. We were shocked to discover this dark granite. I think the sandstone fell off the top of the granite into the valleys because it can't be below the granite natively.

Are you using off line google maps on a ipad for navigation?
@JimPreston6 ай бұрын
Google Maps is really poor for remote locations. We use primarily Gaia and sometimes refer to OnX Off-Road. Ahh, I forgot to include a link to our route in the description. Coming up soon!

What mods have you done to your rig, lift, tire, and/or suspension wise?
@JimPreston6 ай бұрын
That info is included in the description of every video. Also, we have a video explaining our build. Coming up in August we will add an Aluminess Hidden Winch Mount front bumper and OpenRoad 13,000 lb winch. Since we are usually alone out there in the boonies we decided to add extra self-recovery gear.

I'm sorry, but the reason you can find a great campsite and not encountering very many other vehicles is because these areas are OUT OF SEASON at the time you are going there. It is TOO hot in June, July and August. Please let your viewers know about this and not mislead them into thinking it will be that way in the spring and fall when everybody goes there.

A high of 85 degrees is not too hot. Besides, overlanders know how to use a weather app. Busy out there in hunting season and I think I mentioned that.
