Managed to get my Godox V1 fixed. The flashbulb had blown out! just got it replaced its working perfectly fine now

Hi everyone, I think there are 2 possibles causes. V1 has no fan and neither a thermomether that can advice you that is overheated, so in this case I guess it stops auto until reach a better temp. The other reason is the flash tube that is exhausted and got to be replaced. I've the same problem using it as master flash. I hope this helps.

There are times it suddenly stops working in the middle of a shoot. And i can't figure out why. The all it does is make the beep sound when you attempt to make it fire

This is a crap flash seriously. I bought it almost a year ago and replaced hot shoe 3 times and same thing happening right now , just beeping but no flash And one more thing I don’t know what happened currently I can’t even turn it on /off because the power switch is stuck . Anybody having issue with the power switch of V1S as well ?

I have two weeks since I acquired the v1 version 6 and mounted on the camera suddenly it does not shoot, it is a nuisance because you can lose a great photograph. although it indicates the green light that I already recycle, it does not respond, sometimes making me lose up to 6 shots

is this a common problem? I have a little over 250K shots with it and it died. I get a flash maybe once every 7 shots.

I have the same problems with mine.Has been bought for only few days..mine took almost 25 minutes to work again.it happened 3 times at 1 event.

Today i missed a great shot of my son, we all know how difficult it is to pause kids for photos, then when you finally get a chance for a great shot the flash didn't fire. I wonder if it was a client i was shooting. I would end up looking stupid for the next 20 minutes it took to start firing again

@@mathu_stans exactly! Luckily for me my client/model is my partner so she has patience but still this shouldn’t happen. Sucks because when it works it’s such a good flash

Hi Aaron, I'm having the same issue with my Godox v1 speedlight. everything was working two days ago then it started misfiring , I turned it on today and it fired a few times then it stopped.

I made it work! :D all you have to do is put both transmitter and receive into one channel. I'm using X2t transmitter though

So I have two of these....an both have this problem after a few events...I'll send them in to repair. But this says to me: do not trust these devices for professional work! Pity, cause I really love the results and power of these flashes! But sadly enough: can't trust these V1's...bummer!
