Being a proud Indian, one thing I would like to say is we should not start bragging that we are much better than Pak. Our defence budget is 10times that of Pak, even though their sysyems lack quality their quantities are not very far behind. The gap between China and us is far wider than Pak and us which should be concerning as both of them would probably act as a single force against us. So, yes surely celebrate our success but to the ones who say stuff like "pkmkb" it does not match our standards. We are yet not at our full potential. South Korea and Turkish defence industries too are at a blooming stage like us, yet their growth and effectiveness is better. We need to acknowledge our flaw points and start questioning the govt why aren't we doing more? Being satisfied with this pace isn't enough.

But things to consider are our economy is larger than theirs, and even though they have been dependent on US for their defence they had started their self reliance programs way earlier than us. Also if u follow the channel on a regular basis u will understand that its not just about being developed, their indigenuus industry mechanism is more effective than ours, their punctuality is better than ours. And where Turkey is concerned it is not even as developed like South Korea. Also they started their programs much later than South Korea. Still they ahead of us in various aspects. Look, giving excuses is easy but accepting the fact that we are lagging will eventually lead us in rectifying our mistakes. Progress is happening but this isn't our potential. Just look at ISRO, look at our missile programs. They are way more punctual than these other institutions. So the fact of the matter is their is much room to improve, probably reform our institutions, and keep doing it untill they give satisfactory results. And also I would like to add, its not just our scientist's fault, the government is to be blamed too. I

I think you have missed the point. JF-17 has been used for close to two decades, whereas Tejas hasn't even been properly inducted and it has been a complete white elephant. The JF-17 is supposed to be a cheap and cheerful fourth generation plane that can be produced en-masse and can be upgraded through future variants in a clever, modular manner. Moreover, you also need to take into account that the use of PL-15 missile makes it a highly potent platform that can give even hold off a Su-27.

Frustration, my boy, you are clearly losing your cool. Instead of trying to portray Pakistan bad and its choices, you could have accepted your vulnerabilities. You call us a client state of China. No problem, we accept that this is a major concern that we are dependent on China. But, India being a major power, with that kind of prowess, money, technology and still struggling with the first aircraft of its own? The first aircraft which it has been trying for last 26 years? You called that PAF was reluctant to take WS 13 engines. Wasn’t IAF reluctant on Tejas? They have turned HAL multiple times. Your IAF chief on record has said that we are unable to include Tejas because of its limited performance and HAL proposed timeline. Your forces have rejected your weapons multiple times from drones to missiles, from guns to armored vehicles, and they continue to do so. They have chosen imported weapons countless times. Would you dare ask this question from your fellows? Your Air force squadron strength is depleting in an unprecedented manner. AMCA, TEDBF, AIRCRAFT ENGINES, and countless other things are having terrible delays. Is Pakistan the reason behind this?

Absolutely not, Pakistan is not the reason behind the delays. All these projects started under a weak govt but since 2014 we have revived old projects and lead them to conclusion. We accept or folly that our ancestors lead one party to actually fail the nation. Projects which started after 2014, look at their pace of development. Be it Zorawar tanks or nuclear submarines like Arihant and Arighat. Having a strong foundation is very very necessary. Engine technology is one key areas in which we definitely lag behind but how many countries in this world have their own indigenous aircraft engines. I would say give us another 5 years, we have not given up on the Kaveri yet. I seriously feel bad for Pakistan, no joking around, that China is actually devouring Pakistan for its own greed and USA has caused such turbulence in the nation. We don't want a failed Pakistan, we want a responsible Pakistan because at the end of the day both the countries were divided by the British to run their own agenda.

tejas is the lightest 4th gen fighter aircraft, how does it have weight issues, it has a unstable design and digital fly by wire for maneuverability and has higher turn rates and lift due to delta wing design. If it lacked thrust we won't have gone for it and sped up f414 engine deal and if u r questioning the reliability of a general electric engine idk what u consider as reliable, it doesn't face problems with weapon integration IAF wanted a system to integrate any system they want without any problem and they already have that and radar is elm 2052 which is one of the most reknown radar in industry right now and uttam radar will have 900tr modules which is greater than rafale's 800tr modules both aesa tested and liquid cooled powerful rd 93 is actually the unreliable one, how is bvr capability better with klj 7 radar which is considered problematic due to it being air cooled, yeah it is so reliable it has crashed more than half a dozen times already and was grounded by its 2 export customers. Advantage of affordability yeah with that cheap airframe and aluminium body, ease of maintenance because it is grounded most of the time. Yeah everyone knows what is more overhyped or was as everyone already knows its capabilities.
