But 1 argument against this still stands. Chinese 10 world developed much after f-16's radar. Semiconductor technologies at a rapid pace why smartphone has a 10nm processor while many chips are 40nm. New generation chips are much more efficient. We must never underestimate the adversary.

Agreed and as usual pretty good content. My counter(argument sake) is 1). Engine power distribution/Management is constantly evolving. 2). Empty weight of Airframe are constantly trimmed towards optimisation. Coupling both these factors maybe (again maybe) T/R count vs Engine power output curve might vary.

I think one important aspect missed is that. You are very right for the J10 fighter, but the J16 and J20 are Double engine fighters, so considering if the J10 is Supported by this engine(Single engine supporting 11-12 kW) then there is also a chance that J17 and J20 will support this radars( as they are double engine fighters). Your Analysis is outstanding but this aspect should also be taken into mind. I learnt a lot from your video, this is just a opinion, please correct if I am wrong

China denied Su 30MKK upgrade with Irbis E Radar consuming 20 kW power because that required engine change as the AL 31 can't power them.

Excellently explained in simple examples. Guys, please note that he is not underestimating the adversary. All he dis was explaining the facts. I agree that one should not underestimate any adversary, big or small. But Chinese make tall claims as propaganda and psychological warfare. In near future, aesa technology will surely develop and efficiency will improve too. But, the powerplant issues will remain. Engines are designed according to the aerodynamics of the airplane and not just radar in mind. Too many other electronics to be powered and taken care off not just radar. So, chill.

And all these details regarding numbers of power and range will never be let out in the public domain and is heavily classified.... In no way Am I saying their AESA hardware is one of the best or even in the top 5 but trashing them as below mediocre is simply wrong.... Also jamming AESA radars are not almost impossible, depends on the enemy hardware with processing power, firmware, electronic intelligence gathered and ability to counter speed of frequency hopping...

Nope as he said in the video it's better to have lesser tr module with proper power supply instead of too many tr module which don't get enough power , hence Uttam is gonna have 750 tr modules in Tejas which is about 8.5kw power consumption which can easily be met by ge 404 engines

One solution for small single engine aircraft can be an auxiliary power supply of lithium batteries of say 10kw(weight of 40kg) which will make it more potent.
