There are several ways a thug can deliver a punch from close range. These could be called sucker punches as they can come in rather quickly and reach their target if the defender is not ready for them or expecting them.
In this video, we examine two of these punches, a short or medium hook punch to the head and a body shot, with two of many defences against them. In these defences, we apply Combat Hapkido concepts.
There are many variations or counter strikes that can be applied to this scenario so, the practitioner is free to use their favourite.
