I love the devil's advocate pun. The only thing i could say that could make things better if rather than trying to prove the things that happened didn't happened, instead he tried to prove the things that did happen weren't a crime (such as cannibalism due to being locked up, or the gambler operating under contractual bounds, or banban acting in self defense).

Trying to prove things are not a crime can self incriminate you and leaves a lot of room for the more you say the more things a lawyer will tear at. I'd argue more The Dealer is an AI programmed for a specific task and therefor cannot be prosecuted as they are not a human citizen that adheres to laws or rights and the creator and owner of the establishment would be the liable one, Andy and Leyley ironically were innocent in that specific context so you'd have to argue circumstantial and them trying to rush to check on a disturbance next door and Banban... well Banban is a giant marketable plushy.

Outta the three: Dealer’s probably all good/most likely to not be found guilty. - Contract can carry his case. - legally binding material that requires the recipient to sign, under the guise of knowing what they’re in for. And needing written consent to start the game. - Dealer is also an equal participant, so power dynamic hardly shifts - And in the event of medical emergency/near death, participant is medically evaluated & can be revived - Game is done out of a monetary reward, with risk. Tl;dr: He’s basically a casino/casino game that can kill. Wait a minute… As for the other two, unless I look more into homicide cases that ran away/was found not guilty; those two are screwed. Also banban is just guilty for existing.

The waiver doesn't eliminate liability for dismemberment, an outcome explicitly mentioned to be of increased risk given the shpeel the dealer gave as to why they're using a shotgun. He's hosed and it's *mostly* his own fault. It might commute the crime down from murder and into criminal negligence or manslaughter though.

Okay but this is honestly such a creative idea for a game. You playing a lawyer defending game characters (mostly antagonists) for their crimes is fun and so far they handle it well! I hope they continue updating with more indie characters added in (would unironically love if KintoPET in a computer self aware of being in a game or more well known to obscure ones gets in). That is a really funny crossover idea. I hope there will be more, even just for the comedy aspect and the crazy discussions/answers. I can imagine this game also beeing able to be extended easily in a random mode by mod creators. And a funny storymode to even get some small increase in difficulty and maybe also add some features like fake evidence, time management and also different endings by how successfull you are.
