Your video isn't dodgy quality - it's authentic! And the work on the landy is looking good too 👍

Better woodwork than me, I am doing the same as you at the moment. Good to see what others are doing. Nice one ☝️

Having got back from a 5 week trip in August I can well and truly say all of the hard work of the build stage is worth it! Good luck with your build!

Your skills appear to be innumerable! Did you make a paper template for the side windows? Keep up the great work. Kind regards Alan
@TheLandRoverProject25 күн бұрын
Hi Alan, thank you for your comment. I drew it up on AutoCAD, laser cut a template in cardboard and then kept tweaking it till I was happy with it!

@ Thank you for your kind reply. I have managed to get hold of a template for the cutting dimensions for the Alpine side roof windows, which I don’t think you have in your vehicle. Mine is a Td5 90 and does not have a headliner in the back. After much thought and damage to my grey cells, I have decided to use one inch square strips of Balsa wood which I am going to glue to the interior roof to form an accurate frame upon which I will fix a thin sheet of flexible plywood with the window cut out. I can use insulation between each piece of the frame and cover the whole frame with a suitable fabric. I already have the flexible plywood so I can make space for some other rubbish. Hopefully this is going to work well.

@@alancrossley4461 no mine are very basic aftermarket windows that have a tendency to leak unfortunately, I’d like to replace them eventually! The method you mention was my alternative idea which would have worked just as well. Keep me posted on how it turns out!
