Laser have a long history of supplying tools that actually really help fitters. Their reps used to actively ask what we needed rather than just punting out what was already in their catalogue like most of the other suppliers we dealt with. I will definitely be adding one of these to my kit. Hugely useful and potentially a real time/money/life saver.

A great tool owners of tubeless steel wheels should own. I used mine for the first time a few months ago on my trailer. It actually worked first time, I sprayed WD40 to help remove the old one which was easy and help the new one squish in place which was hard as shown but worked when I committed to it.

I generally fit my own tires by hand using tire spoons, so popping the bead and replacing the stem wouldn’t be an issue. But I can see this having value in a pinch when time is critical and breaking the bead may not be an option, or the bead is just a difficult one. The removal tool seems useful, but I see the install tools to be what makes the difference. An old core could be broken or cut off, or a tpms sensor could be unscrewed and pushed inside. Then the new valve could be installed with the remnants removed at a more convenient time.

I didn't know this tool existed..... Until the AA man fitted a new valve in one of my van tyres on the side of the A46.... I was impressed to say the least 👍🏼👍🏼

I bought myself a tyre machine and balancer some time ago and it has paid for itself many times over. I use bolt in valves exclusively that are much more robust that the cheap rubber units. The last time I looked the rubber valves were a few pence wholesale and I bought 25 bolt in valves for £1.69 each. The issue I can see with the tyre valve replacement system is it relies on the inside of the rim being clean enough to create a sea, which in my experience is not the case. This tool might be useful for a trail repair where the valve has been ripped by hidden branches/rocks, in which case there is a good possibility that the valve will split and leave part of it rattling around within the tyre.

Well I didn't know this tool existed. My garage did mine without charge last time, but this looks like a good tool to have anyway!

Well that is the most useful tool I have seen in a long time. I am going to order one right now!

I'm going to order one of those tools to go with my tyre plug kit. It's so easy to rip a valve out off-road, and being able to do it at camp or by the side of the road without popping the bead would be so useful.

This tool is awesome definitely adding this to my tire kit in the jeep. I have those repair valves that you can install from the outside of the wheel they work good they are a little spendy though but I really like this it looks like a good item to add to the kit it's pretty easy to tear a valve stem off-road.

ooh , that is being added to my in-vehicle tool kit .. very handy for a trail fix
@henrycolestage7650Ай бұрын
Not a bad idea to have even for tubes. It would help you keep the tube valve actually in the hole as you are fighting with getting the tire back on the rim! My rims are tube type rims that have been modified for tubeless so the valve stems are much bigger than modern ones. I doubt the white compression tube will fit mine but the two other parts of the set will be a great help!

great tool. nice that you art just cutting the base and allowing it to roll around in the tire. dont use silicone, it contaminates for future rim painting and never goes away. soap is alright on steel but dont use it on aluminum as it corrodes. My current tire lubricant is antifreeze but would like to find something else. dont use wd40 etc. It ruins the rubber and is also silicone.

Nice video and had to change a valve on my rear tractor tyre , breaking the bead was a pain so this would have been amazing but the valves are slightly larger so a homemade tube on lathe may be needed if you can't find the right size.

What happened to all the diagrams on LRW?
@gs188Ай бұрын
Given that there’s now a link to the diagrams on a JLR website which has a footer saying they are copyright JLR I’d assume their legal team has been in touch - a shame but at least the lists are still useable.
