Fantastic conversion. I have to say these are my favourite LR videos on KZbin. Question regarding the classification of the vehicle following this conversion. I assume the vehicle still retains the N1 (commercial vehicle) classification, even thought it has effectively been converted to CSW spec. CSWs were listed as M1 (passenger vehicle) on the V5C. Or can the V5C be changed following inspection? This has obvious repercussions for insurance costs.

It looks amazing you would never think it was a van body converted im slowly getting there with my 110 county wagon if had the change fule filter, fule lines, slave cylinder, pump the clutch back in and 30mm wheel spacers. I'm having a problem with my ignition tho seem to keep having a surge of power and it keep smoking from one of the red cables on the ignition barrel and wont turn the engine over any ideas.
@juicemotors2 жыл бұрын
There’s a short to earth in your wiring, that’s the smoking - you’ll need to carry out continuity tests and buy a power probe to find the issue. All part of the fun I’m afraid! Thanks for your comments 👌🏻💛
@jordanoliver68002 жыл бұрын
@@juicemotors sorry to be a pain would that be the earth on the started as it's not turning it over but the dash lights up and the the lights work. Thank you for your help with out this channel I wouldn't have a clue about half of the stuff with defenders.
@juicemotors2 жыл бұрын
@@jordanoliver6800 one of the positive wire that’s sending 12v to the ignition circuit is worn through and touching the bulkhead, it’s sparking out and shorting to ground. That’ll be where the smoke is coming from, if you grab a power probe they’re so easy to use and you’ll use it forever on a Defender 👌🏻
@jordanoliver68002 жыл бұрын
