If someone is coming in close is it better to strike and then run or create distance and run?

I’m really proud of you for embracing Krav so fully by the way. Since Krav doesn’t teach ring-legal counters to the most effective MMA tactics, it’s useless for the ring. But since it teaches how to exploit the openings those tactics leave for unconventional attack, it’s perfect for the street - especially since it mandates that we never use such tactics ourselves. You rock. I would love to train with you or make videos with you someday. Like you, I’ve been bouncing since the 1990s. I specialize in de-escalation and, when de-escalation is impossible, positioning myself to inflict gross bodily harm on my opponent, which has never failed to calm one down. I’ve never had to actually cause gross bodily harm on an opponent - positioning myself in such a way that I easily could has always worked to deter further violence. It’s effective, it’s legal, and in the end it’s harmless.

Very nice. I would point out, that you need to put your guard Up when you turn so you do not eat a straight punch to the face. And you realy need to follow-up with continues strikes and then get away. Good stuff man keep IT Up! 🤙

2:25 This attack actually just happened at a HS out here in Southern California. One girl attacked another over a boy, she came up from behind and snatched the victim by her hair. Then dragged her while delivering hammer fist.
@AceofDlamonds3 жыл бұрын
This is not the best advice. Palm stike/hammer fist is fine, but many men will be able to withstand it, especially a woman who does not practice. The best thing to do for a front grab is to grapple: put both hands UP to grab the attacker's hand, rotate your body quickly to get them off balance or at least shift their weight away from center.

Thanks for sharing this. I can use this whenever someone's grabbing my hair behind.

@@AceofDlamonds the Gracie don’t even do it very well lol Just grab their hair back!!! No body is saying this and it’s so simple At least then it’s a 50/50

@@silver_tongue9644 grab their hair back? wtf are you even envisioning? The best way I would say is to create stability at the grip by securing his wrist with both of your hands, tight grip, and elbows up to block the face, pulling your weight down so he has a harder time pulling.
@silver_tongue96443 жыл бұрын
@@AceofDlamonds yeah u should definitely grab their wrist too:) But unless they are balled u should be able to grab their hair back with the other hand

What are the positives and negatives to locking the hair pulling hand to the scalp? Many others teach this as part of their technique, but you skip it entirely.
@jamesburr02 жыл бұрын
Brilliant palm strike shin kick stamp on foot with high heel! If someone has u by hair n u dont clamp the hand u r going to follow the pain not your head! For a bloke top of head from behind! Turn n lift shin strike! In 7 minutes u can only cover so much! 👍

Once you are rag dolled there is no defense period. I’ve seen monsters taken down by the hair by small guys. Own the head own the fight. Only thing better than hair is a necktie.

Could put a sharp piece in your hair that's not visible. That way whenever someone pull your hair their hand gets stabbed.
