I have been viewing DCS content creators for years... waiting for the day "earn my wings"...I stumbled across your channel recently after performing a Google Search (not You-Tube Specific) by simply typing in "DCS World Comprehensive Air to Air Combat Tutorials"...Thankfully your channel appeared along with several screen shots on the first search page that appeared. Not being familiar I began viewing the video (I think it was the one explaining what a 2-circle fight is, how to identify, pro's and cons, tactics involved, etc) I paused the video half-way through and subscribed... although I still have not configured my HOTAS, Head Tracking, et al. I have binged numerous videos and viewed several more than once... Perhaps it's due to my age but I do not want to waste my time (or anyone else's) so I always view your videos with my handy notepad and trusty pen (use erasable ink)... I wanted to say thanks for allocating your time to create, explain and present these topics. I realize it takes an inordinate amount of time to prepare 8-12 min video but it is appreciated. For any new players/"pilots" to DCS ...and I also include those are experienced in/with DCS...having viewed literally hundreds of hours of DCS content during the past 3 years...compiling hundreds of pages of handwritten notes from viewing content, reading forums, etc, I wouldn't be surprised if I have more documentation than the Library of Congress all regarding DCS... I do scan all of my handwritten notes, converting to a digital, pdf, format as well as categorizing my notes under specific categories/sections/subsections...all secured in a couple of very thick 3 ring-binders. I share this to provide context regarding my dedication and eagerness to be prepared for the day when I finally can get over what I pray is the most challenging part for a new player (especially an old guy who has never "played" a PC Game in my life...I know the modules will be challenging but hopefully having earned my PPL 30 years ago and earning certifications, permits in a handful of aircraft from the original go-kart-sized single prop Cessna 152 up to a med-sized cabin jet, Challenger 300...will accelerate the flying part at least some....then again, I could be wrong...will see)...Unlike my rant filled posts I can assure any new player in DCS to experienced players/ pilots...I have found each video on this channel to be on point...precise, concise, no wasted time or side rants...accompanied my a well-prepared script that is well balanced for beginners and experienced DCS players.... For beginners, such as myself, the info is not presented too hastily or with assumptions the viewer has a comprehensive grasp on all things DCS and/or aviation...at the same time, the information is presented in a manner that is not watered down or too basic for those of you who are experienced in DCS. As years pass by... I realize an old adage is so true.., "Never convince yourself you know everything about anything because there is always something more to learn"... With all of that said, I feel compelled to disclose that I've never posted a comment to this channel, am not affiliated with nor do I know or ever communicated with this content creator. I feel strongly the information ie. content is useful extremey for new players and perhaps as refreshers or different perspectives to experienced folks...In short, this is one of the best channels I have viewed with regards to overview, specific detailed instruction, clear and well paced explanations and most importantly...is extremely comprehensive & informative.... Lastly, I do hope to breach the level of profiency needed to be able to begin my DCS career & reach the point where I feel confident enough to participate on Multi-player servers... Sooner than later...to ensure I achieve that objective... I will be leaning on the information in these videos heavily...likely viewing each no less than 3 times... and obviously, viewing each new video that is posted. Hope everyone finds these as helpful as I have, subscribe to assist these videos are exposed to other in the DCS community....I hope everyone has a peaceful, safe and pleasant weekend. Take Care

Your videos are so valuable, thanks for the time and efforts put into this great content sir! Your ACM playlist helps me rewriting the ACM syllabus and training methods for my squadron! I could not help but see the first contract of the SF being violated during the final scene in the Viper hehe. We can see from the geometry at the merge who's the EF and who the SF. The angle does not allow the SF to take a shot quickly enough to allow him to shoot and remain visual with the EF, resulting in the EF dangerously merging with the SF a bit later in the fight. Or I did not understand anything XD

Oh boy! Am I excited for the Air Supremacy series! I am trying to get a friend to do these exercise series with me as I feel nailing down everything so far would come a really long way in improving my piloting skills. For that I have to thank you again for the amazing series so far!

With the new Normandy 2.0 map just tipping my toes into WWII dogfighting. Energy management principles remain the same, but boy this is challenging coming from 3rd and 4th gen jets. Engine management (overheat, etc) and no reheat to get you out of trouble 😬

You can change the aircraft in the mission if you want. The scripting will work just fine with it.

One of the biggest advantages of physical books is the table of contents. Is there such a thing for your invaluable material? Call me slow but I think once we're past "just BFM tutorials", things can get a little chaotic. Speaking of organized flow - what about publicly available training programs? Even if someone is aware of downloadable UPT material, how does it tie to other such USAF/NAVY programs? This may turn into a wide topic but what I *think* I need is a kind of an "Ops Center" companion book/library :) Any tips? Or a comment on the order your own videos should be followed?

Great questions. I wish I had a companion book. One day I may write one but right now I have several others that need to be written first to complete the open book series I have. I would like to make a video that explains a good order to watch this channel's content. But first I need to fill in some gaps. That should include a "start here" series. So keep an eye out for that.

@@TheOpsCenterByMikeSolyom Will do! I encourage you to simply start a DCS forum topic on the subject when you do release a "watching plan" or anything. Or hell, even now. Your stuff is top level. Only an idiot would pass this material!
