The second defiant flashlight is a bit kinky. The way the battery's work is the second cap connects the positive and the negative with a bit of metal but sometimes the battery dosent touch that so it flickers and a good way to fix that is to fold a bit of tin foil 4 times then cut it into a circle so it is a bit smaller than the cap. Then put it in the cap and twist it on so it touches the cap better so it dosent flicker. Just for those who had that problem, I mean I'm a police explorer in high school and we get to do ride alongs and we get to do traffic stops and sometimes I peer into car windows and it looks really unprofessional when you have your flashlight starts flipping out and spazzing and you trying to hit it to fix it

I dont know what id classify me as, im not a prepper but any one of my little 250 lumen lights sat on their butt ends easily lights up an avg room. With power outages ill be set in every room

My home depot we just put 850 lumen light for $9.88. I got 2. Im getting quite the collection.

every single defiant light i've bought i have to bang on it to make it work, left me stuck in a mess with projects many times, total crap.

Video poster i l didnt comment on the og shitty everready but thats not even comparable. With these husky,defiant,rayovac and coast lights no one in modern times should settle for a shitty neveready light. Even costco sales 4 little 250lumen with batts for $20 and theyre duracell. I got a 3 pack for $20 thinking it was a steal but with 3 250 lum lights, rayovac light with 250 lumen, 2 850 lum defiants, 2 rAyovac lanterns plus one screw on propane cannister and an old coleman u gotta pump i am set to the teeth

That defiant 850 lumens is a steal. We have em on sale again for $10 with batteries. That outs the old 4 d cell maglite to shame. Ive seen the 3 cell maglite with batteries for like $30 and its still price range not even close. Where maglite had their market in the mid 90s thats moot now with companies blasting these 850 or huskys 1000 lumen lights for more. Every maglite ive seen with 3 c batteries is the same size and only boasts like 300 lumens. Sorry that doesnt cut it. That 850 defiant is ungodly bright might i say. Maglite needs to step down from their name brand and compete with these in my opinion

I had to return a defiant flashlight wasn't no good it was the 1200 lumen version it was dead out of the box

Home Depot has a much better other brand called husky which is much better quality
