Kraig won that. The duality of Tupac’s music is important to consider in relation to events and experiences that unfolded in his life and career. Pre and Post incarceration, before and after being shot. Before and after making movies. East coast and then moving to the West Coast. There was a market and a pull for both types of lyrical content in his rap. He would have been traversing the maze of entertainment industry and legal chicanery that most of us have no knowledge of. In fact many “Black” artists, actors, athletes and celebrities become quite disillusioned by the reality of that life and are chewed up by it, while simultaneously trying to remain relevant and marketable. There is bound to be some duality. The question for the fan is where do they stand as far as what gives that celebrity influence in their life and why would they pay money to have access to their work? Tupac provided something for different sides. Which side did you like?

I disagree. 2pac probably had a larger following but Biggie was the better rapper. 2pac lost his way. Especially when he went to Death Row. I can understand him changing after being shot but that's when he lost me with all the dissing and gang banging. His content wasn't the same. The game was starting to pass him by. I put it like this. I was impressed with 2pac in my early teens but once I got into dudes like Biggie and Nas, 2pac no longer impressed me. They took lyricism to the next level and 2pac couldn't compete. He was living off controversy at that point. That and he had already established a fanbase that was going to rock with him no matter what. They liked it because it was 2pac. They didn't like it because it was great artistry.

Them boys had to get the game back after Pac died even Biggie n Nas knew Pac was on top in ‘96 do yo research. And biggie got lyrics about suckin up his girl dad violating kids gettin his girl sister pregnant etc. and dissing is part of hip hop my guy. Ppl was dissin b4 pac and gon continue after. And pac wouldn’t have had that following if ppl didn’t like what he rapped about. Pac lost you but Biggie aint lose you when he was rapping that mafioso stuff and had all them questionable lyrics? U draw the line with Pac dissin? When ppl took shots at him when he was at his lowest in jail? Biggie’s nice but u fans of his argue the dumbest points.

@@ContextReallyMatters and even Nas said Him 2Pac and Biggie the greatest. He would’ve said him and big or just himself if Pac shit wasn’t dope. And All Eyez on me the only album from ‘96 right now to hit 3billy on spotify. It’s also diamond. If it was not raw it would’ve flopped simple.

All he rapped about was street stuff he didn't he live. it crazy how people criticize pac but dont hold Biggie to the same standards he was a whole studio gangster which is fine i guess but by every metric Tupac is the better and had way more range there are some people on youtube who cry when react to one of Tupacs songs for first time i haven't seen anyone react to any on biggies music like that. Biggie may be better to "his fans" but regardless of the excuses why. fact is more people world wide think Tupacs the better rapper. the fans and record sells prove this. Hit em up is one of the top Diss tracks of all time and Dear momma , brendas got a baby and keep your head up are some of the most positive and important songs in Hip Hop.

The fact that Pac let Bigg rock out on his shows and Bigg was promoting ThugLife for Pac shows it all. Pac was the greater artist
