Phobia implies fear. Reluctance to accept or embrace Islam is not based on fear it is based on an understanding of the preposterous nature of the entirety of the creed. Written in an era of profound ignorance and sustained in the same manner, unchanged in how many hundreds of years?

Simple. An irrational fear of Islam. After 9/11, and now October 7 , everyone who is not a Muslim, and indeed, many who are, should have realised there is nothing irrational about fearing Islam. Indeed, it is the goal of Allah himself, as stated in the Koran, Chapter 8, Verse 12: 'I will strike terror [yes, "terror"] into the hearts of those who disbelieve.' (Chapter 8, Verse 12) The religion of peace.
