I'm a male engineer. I've witnessed a lot of pressure from educational systems on my female friends to try to push them toward engineering when they don't really want to do it. A lot of my female engineering school friends changed majors. A lot of those that graduated changed careers not long after graduation. They all said the same thing, "it's not that I don't feel welcome in the engineering community. I just want a job where I work more with people instead of designing things." They usually switched to physical or life science careers, medical careers, or organizational leadership careers. This is not a bad thing. It just shows women are free to pursue careers that they are interested in. We shouldn't freak out just because there's not a 50/50 male/female spilt in every occupational demographic.

But, women are overrepresented here at the HR department, the administration, sales, marketing, everywhere, except the places where work is blue-collar. It's not that we actively discourage women to join the work floor. They simply do not seem to like that kind of work, where heavy lifting is involved, and hands-on technical tasks, which are traditionally regarded as men's domain, but officially, is supposed to welcome any gender just as well. Okay, let's have them. We invite you to come here and weld, grind and machine stuff, drive to our clients and get your hands dirty, climb up scaffolding and install stuff, pick up that bag of tools and repair stuff. Well, there is a bit of language barrier for her, but also I think it's obvious that she has been educated more through a certain amount of liberal ignorance of facts. This interview, though, is a great example of what Dr. Peterson has had to deal with every since he became famous for the pronoun crap that was forced on him during the arguments when the Ontario constitution was being changed to a more communist agenda. He has been constantly attacked about this egalitarian crap. These people in this discussion are just flabbergasted about what they have been led to believe about Dr. Peterson before he came to this. It's obvious that their egalitarian outlook is based on the equal outcome which to me is communism. None of these people understand the equal opportunity idea at all.

You're misinterpreting. She just meant that both boys and girls should be taught the same things which are self-confidence and empathy. For example, I was raised in a very traditional masculine way. So I find it hard to share my emotions(specially troubling one) with people, and this affects my mental health negatively. also, many women I know were not taught they could achieve whatever they like so they find it harder to gather the courage to take risks and have confidence.

I work in the film industry. I see the same thing. Women complain about not being represented in action films, but when you look at the data, you see that most women are not interested in action films. They like romantic films. Then male filmmakers are being criticised for not cadering to the female audience, the thing that they don't want to see. The issue is not opportunity, but preference. The reason why a film like Madame Web flops, is that it is a film genre mostly watched by men, but a film marketed to have a feminist agenda, so neither men nor women show up to watch it. Bit the narrative is that men don't want to support strong independent women. Well sorry, but women don't want to support strong independent women. That's not my opinion. That's what the data says.
