I pray this series reaches a wide audience. I can testify that God indeed can set us free from sexual sin. I'm 47, a woman, and from the age of 19, I spent 22 years in sexual sin - promisicuity/pornography. God pursued me while I was drowning in it and rescued me. 🙌🏾 I'm still battle daily with fantasizing and self-gratification, and God fights for me still. My hope is to encourage others, especially young people, to keep their bodies for the Lord. I would save them from the damage, trauma and pain that is sexual sin and the shame that inevitably follows. 💛

Thanks, Costi, for doing this teaching series! As a whole I think churches shy away from teaching about sexual immorality in anything other than general terms while large numbers of men and women in the church struggle silently with the intense draw of this particular sin. Open and direct teaching like this is definitely needed. It is helpful for me personally and I am praying it will reach many who right now feel hopelessly lost in its web of despair.

Thank you very much Costi Hinn for teaching us about sexual sin. I really appreciate tha you speak about all kind of sexual immorality. Nowadays, there are many people who are advocating for self gratification, masturbating, and even sodomy within marriage. They are modern day Nicolaites and they try to confuse Christians. But our God is almighty and the Gospel is His power unto salvation. Again thank you very much for teaching us christian discipline. God bless you! Greetings from Ivory Coast.

Thank you Costi for beginning a series on this! I’m a young believer who has a heart for the Lord and wants to fall in love with Him more! May the Lord bless and lead all His children closer to Him in this series and help us realize how much we need Him to battle this specific type of sin! Glory be to You God!

Very good, brother! These sorts of series are crucial, especially in the culture we live in. My only disappointment is that I have to wait a week for the series to continue haha

Thank Costi, great content! I believe everyone ( men especially) struggle with this. The dangerous thing is, we see forms of sensuality in our local churches! This should be the last place that men ought to wrestle with that temptation. Thank you for the encouragement as I wait eagerly for the day :)

Unfortunately my X couldn’t stop looking at porn for 35 years, this isn’t sexual sin when you’re married. It’s adultery without remorse or repentance. This is habitual sin.

how do you figure adultery ... ??? did a pastor tell you?

If any man looks at a woman to lust after her, he has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Said Jesus...

It's not adultery, obviously. Those are your feelings talking, not Scripture. Adultery is when a man sleeps with another man's wife.

please speak about sexual sins like making out, dry humping, masturbation and so on. often times people think just sex is the only type of sexual sin and i would love for this to be expantiated on, because i want to know if those things also yoke us with the other person. thank you.

Ok Costi; I heard you say that the Bible clearly prohibits “self gratification”. Show me chapter and verse please.

I'm curious where he draws from to come to that conclusion as well.

Grace and Peace. I don't know if this question comes from an authentic desire to be biblical, or would like to try justifying self gratification (masturbation, porn) as okay. I think our response to this message reveals the conditions of our heart before the Lord. Anyways, these verses might help. Romans 14:7-8 2 Corinthians 5:15 And lastly self-evaluation questions. A. Can i say that engaging in self-gratifying acts would bring glory to the King of kings and Lord of lords? B. Does self-gratifying exhibit the fruit of the Spirit in my life? C. Did Christ self-gratify himself while he was still on earth as example for Christians? Blessings.
@Imthatoneboy2 ай бұрын
The Bible doesn’t need to state something is prohibited for you to know that the lord is against it. The Bible doesn’t mention a person watching a man have sex with another woman as wrong but we Christians know god would be against it because the bible said if you look at a woman with lust in your heart you’ve committed adultery with her. The biblical purpose for sex was to give yourself to your spouse and vice versa. Self gratification focuses on you and you alone. Now if this was between two married couples who’d masturbate together that’s up for debate. That’s something they’d need to pray and ask god guidance on. But it always raises more questions than answers.
@thomasprice36672 ай бұрын
Guys your responses are sounding fairly legalistic... Can we not do anything that brings self gratification? Can we not eat good foods that are not essential to a well being such as pie or ice cream? The only reason we eat those things is for self gratification right? To flat out say to someone masterbating is sinful is the same thing as saying buying meat from the pagan temple is sinful. For some yes, for others no. This is why Paul corrects those who think this way. He specifically says those who eat are giving thanks to God for providing them with cheap food. So if someone who is married and masterbates to help go to sleep, and does not watch porn but simply thinks about him and his wife, can he not give thanks to God for it because it provides a good sleep without having to take sleeping pills? Or even simply giving thanks because it makes him feel good just like ice cream? Now obviously masterbation can be sinful, and can lead someone down a destructive path, (but so can eating ice cream), but is it intrinsically sinful in itself? I honestly don't see how according to scripture.

@@johanansumague469 hi I would have thought Ephesians 5:3, Galatians 5:19, Ephesians 5:5 would have been in play here as one of the “impure” things mentioned. If Costi believes masturbation is a sin, then he has to back that up with scripture. I believe these verses do that.

Sexual sin is defined in God's law, and not in your intuitions, sloppy inferences, or your traditions. You add to God's word. You are in error, and you lay heavy, unnecessary burdens on God's people.

5:31 If you are battling sexual sin you are not as Hinn says ' less of a christian" if you focus on the completed work you will never think of yourself as " less of a christian" Come on Hinn you can do beter.

He says “It’s normal for us to wage war against sexual sin that is part of the Christian life, and that is very helpful for those of you who feel like you’re less of a Christian because you battle temptation in this area particular”. Not once did he say that you are less of a Christian he’s speaking for those who feel that way and reminding them that it’s normal to be pressured into those thoughts when you fight a war with sexual sin. Come on brother let’s not spread misinformation
