This has been extremely helpful. I must consider more what the state of my heart that I want to be more receptive to the Word of God.

I was a bad kid and i was spanked for it. I am grateful for it because a built a sense of respect for my parents. At the time i resented it but after a while of thought I understood why i was spanked and I didn’t do it again. Kids are not perfect little creatures that poop rainbows. They are sinful and that sin needs to be knippend in the bud immediately before it can grow to be ugly. I actually wish i was spanked more for some of the things i did.

It is important that we get specific with this. Being a homosexual is not a sin. Engaging in homosexual behavior is. In other words, simply having the inclination is not a sin. The same is true of anybody as we all have a desire for a certain sin. What is a sin is acting on those desires instead of surrendering to God.

How about you just let people be instead of trying to convert everyone to what you believe? Mormons do the same exact thing. I never went on a Mormon/LDS mission because I knew I hated it when other people came to my door (Jehovah's Witnesses) or otherwise tried to tell me that what I believed was "wrong" and what they believed was "right", and I didn't want to go out and do that same thing to other people. Your belief is your belief, and that's fine. That doesn't mean that everyone else in the world has to believe the same thing as you.

I prayed for a car because I had a car that was breaking down. I didn't have the money to get it fixed, I didn't make enough to afford a car payment and I didn't have the money to buy a car. God answered that prayer. This happened 5 yrs ago and I find myself in the same situation. I'm praying for a car again.
