Defining the Shadow

I am reading Jung's rather difficult works since 1975, and from these readings I have to observe that in his psychology the Shadow also sometimes contains good things in us which we cannot integrate in our conscious mind/existence for some reason(s).

I feel this is perhaps the "transmutation" of integrating shadow, that it becomes your superpower. Or at least a great motivator!

Thanks so much! Well, I haven't seen the show, but I watched some clips, and I feel like this character reminds me of friends I grew up with. Perhaps myself, even. Seems pretty intelligent, but that gift is not really acknowledged or nurtured much, and he seems a little damaged, so he's just kind of a weirdo? Leaning towards the spiritual and intellectual, but not really having any cohort or community in that, no support. Has maybe an aloof attitude, because nobody really knows how to bounce back what he throws back. Maybe? I find sometimes in really talented musicians, they have a great deal of trouble communicating, or expressing their emotions, and it's almost like the instrument finally allowed them to get it out, and because it's their only means of truly expressing themselves, it of course arrives to us as a great catharsis and a great revelation, through the metaphor of the medium.

@@unthinkme_Adam Thanks! Yeah, Top Gear in the sense it's a car show but the three hosts have so much fun and comedy stuff in it, It appeals to me because I have ADHD. I am brainstorming and working on an Integral project called Samagi SL which is to try to bring Integral to Sri Lanka. But/and I do love the idea of like a talk show like yours because theres so much endless stuff to explore. Keep up the great work!
