Also! One thing we realized is that the shield is cause they noticed sometimes it's literally impossible to avoid getting hit, meaning they realized how hard it is, but cause lack of skill, they opted for it

Honestly, it's a shame this game didn't play like Cuphead, because if it did, then I'd probably like it. i like almost all of these boss and level ideas, and the art style is, although a rip off of Cuphead, so appealing to look at. But I've yet to hear anyone say it plays well, and at the end of the day, that's what a game needs to do over everything else.

On a real note though, the game mechanics from an outside view point look pretty fire on top of the artwork. Sure it’s a rip-off but honestly it would probably be pretty good if it was a standalone game and actually functioned. The matching bullet type mechanic seems like a pretty neat mechanic that could add some difficulty at harder stages along with the idea of a block and melee attack, and the artwork for some of the bosses and stages looked great. Problem is it seemed like the actual game was just bad itself and it was an obvious rip-off

I had fun playing the game but the 5th and 6th world can suck deez nuts but for a game that was made by two people I like it with all its flaws even know some of its flaws make me mad but its a good game but the game should be $10 because of its flaws and how short it is I think that’s why most people are mad it’s over priced and why people play it for an hour and 30 minutes and refund it I don’t think they’re going to make a second game though because of the backlash

honestly i feel like this game felt like a passion project, and I believe this game, though has problems, definitely feels like it has some passion put into it. I feel they actually put effort in the concepts of the game. I hope the patches work out

The whole "it was only two people who made it" argument is horribly played out and lame. If you can't make a proper game, you shouldn't be making one to begin with. Otherwise i could just go and make a piece of slop asset flip game, release it for money and then say "sorry guys i'm a solo dev" to deflect all blame. Aim for better games, not for excuses.

People want cuphead which isn't an original genre. But it can't be a clone of cuphead and it can't be different to cuphead.. I don't understand the sheep's just hating on games because their person to watch play it is bad at the game
