What an awesome reaction. Four years ago next month I discovered LOVEBITES quite by chance. They made the same impression on me as they made on you. I immediately became a fan, and I would go further and say a supporter of the band. In my view there has *never* been a band that has the attributes that they possess. Some may have been as talented, but every member? Some may have incredible writing, composition and arrangement skills, but all three? Every single song (approximately 60)? Some may have been really down to earth people, but every member, all the time? Some may have had respect for their fans, and been willing to put time and effort into engaging with them. But as much and as often as LOVEBITES? Nope. No band that has crossed my path can , to use a trite but unavoidable phrase, “ticked every box..every time”. They are the best band in music history. Note I said “best”, not “greatest”. To befit the title “greatest” requires one thing LOVEBITES do not have and have no say in acquiring it. Popularity. The internet gives us the impression that the band has a massive following. It doesn’t. But what is does have is a loyal and dedicated following, which shows the band more respect than anyone else I have ever seen. That’s because they appeal to a mature audience who know enough to understand what they’re hearing and, whilst appreciating just how beautiful the band members are, don’t see that beauty as a reason in itself to admire them. That’s just the icing on the cake. Asami is my favourite member because she literally changed my outlook on life. She exudes positivity without being evangelical about it. And her motto that she sings every song every time as if it will be the last time she does so is not a throwaway remark. I have never, not once, seen a lacklustre performance by her. By anyone in the band, but particularly Asami. She leaves a part of herself on every stage she graces. I’ve seen them live 10 times and have lined up one appearance in a couple of weeks (not a concert as such) as well as every date on the forthcoming tour of Japan. Not only is that enjoyable it’s a duty on my part. I support them in both word and deed. And having met the current lineup both collectively and individually several times I can honestly say that they are the nicest, most respectful, friendliest and warm hearted people you could wish to meet. Enjoy LOVEBITES. Cherish the fact that you are alive at a time when they shine ever more brightly. Best band ever. No discussion.

Epilogue was the first song that Asami wrote. Miyako claims that it was hard to record it on guitar because the slightest mistake was noticeable. Than they praticed a lot, especially her and Midori (in Miyakos home studio) to perform it live perfect, and of course they did it...

Asami ❤ A beautiful heart, voice and soul. It becomes difficult to say all the things that should be said, after a song like this, but there's no denying the beauty of this song, Asami's voice, the lyrics, those guitars, Miyako on the piano. The "E" songs are all like this, in one way or another. Something amazing in each of them.

YESSSS! Super reaction, Michael. Ain't that great? And greater than great. The ballad to end all ballads. Asami's great lyrics and voice. You can hear Miyako's fondness of Gary Moore here and Midori shows that she too can do slow emotional soli as well. The really great thing in this composition is the short bursts of double tempo, these are so well executed and catch all reactors by surprise; "Now what?" 😂 - and Haruna's fills! Not to overlook Miho's so, so solid bass lines. Her tone in this one is actually rather interesting, like a drone below keeping everything steady and balanced.

The first line of this poignant song could as well go: "If you have never cried, We are gonna make you weep..." Would not be far removed from the facts at all. LOVEBITES are just a force of nature; many bands do many things great, but not many can do about ANYTHING amazingly. With this rare ballad the gals channel SCORPIONS, Gary Moore and Jimi Hendrix all rolled in one, with a sprinkling of EAGLES on top. They can also go there! If art is supposed to evoke emotions in the audience, then this is "Exhibit A" of greatest art achieved by simple means, but with great technical prowess and greater human empathy.

Thanks for the reaction. LOVEBITES has two songs, 'Epilogue' and 'Journey to the Otherside', whose concert videos (2019) can evoke the strongest emotions in me. To the point that my eyes can become moist. Although I am not prone to sentimentality. 'Epilogue', the reason is Asami. 'Journey to the Otherside', the reason is Miho.
