Yagami and Kaito are very different characters as far as combat is concerned. Yagami is a self taught fighter but he is an acrobatic fighter, more like Majima from Yakuza (which share the same creator and even take place at the same time as the main line Yakuza/Like a Dragon games) which is why he is much flashier and much swifter fighter. Kaito is the x muscle to Yagami's y speed and agility, basically fighting like Kiryu with many of his EX actions being based on heat actions Kiryu did in the Yakuza games.

How about Yakuza Kiwami? The remake of the first game of the series? It shares heat actions with Zero cause it basically is Zero, but updated setting, but it’s also got a few unique heat actions that still make it feel different in some ways

The Judgment games are fantastic and theyre a sort of spin off to the Yakuza games but theyre set in the same time. Kiryu even runs into Kaito, who is the guy in this video Yagami's partner, in Like a Dragon Gaiden. Yagami's fighting style is completely self-taught and he has 4 of them. Tiger, Crane, Snake and Boxer which Snake and Boxer are new to this game. Tiger is good for 1 on 1 fights, Crane is good for multiple opponents cause of its speed, Snake is all about parrying and counter attacking and boxer is for quick combo attacks. Yagami as you can also see is EXTREMELY athletic which makes some of his moves way more ridiculous because of it lol

The "Tron universe" where he has the goggles and is using photon blades, Kamehameha's or the rail gun that's in the VR minigame called Dice and Cube. You roll dice and run around a board collecting items worth money that you cash out at the end of the minigame is Yagami's main source of money in these games. It's actually kinda fun if not takes like an hour and a half out of your life for just one round

Judgment is my personal favorite series, even though they only got 2 full games and a DLC story. Yagami and Kaito are also a great duo, and both function great as protagonists
