Adding to it: The second batch of golden armored guys are the guard of Poseidon who protect the pillars of the 7 seas. I remember Siren and Scylla but I don't remember what else they embody. The ones that come after with multicolored armors are the Norse Saints mentioned by OP, and a Nordic princess called Freya (not the actual Freya) being mind controlled by Odin. The second to last guy is Hades himself. And idk who the last guy is, but I believe is also Hades after his final power up (haven't watched the Hades Saga)

Fun fact, as a rule of thumb the people with the plain-looking armors of silverish colors are moving at supersonic or hypersonic speeds (except the main cast, but you dont know who those are) and anyone wielding a golden armor, jet black armor or a super fancy silver armor are moving at lightspeed MINIMUM. (Fans, im not talking about the Silver Saints) Also they have unlocked the eigth sense. What's the eighth sense? It's a better version of the sixth and seventh senses of course.

The anime is pretty brutal, in a way that every punch results in a huge pool of blood pouring out of the main characters, it happens to be one of my favorite anime ever made, they had to dial down the brutality in the game, I guess Also, the Phoenix is my favorite, he's not exactly bad, he's just an asshole! i like this serie because it have 2 power sistems. the first is the cosmo energy ( like dragon ball ki or hxh nem) each character have is own atacks and became stronger with training and experience. the second power sistem are the armors, some armors are more powerfull than others. and in the same serie being explicit that without their armor they have normal human resistance and can die from norrmal damage

if i remember correctly in Saint Seiya all the armors represent different things like constellations, mythical creatures, the zodiac and even gods have there armor and when they don't have the armor on, the armor takes the shape of the representation.

Basic plot: warriors who wear armors bless by the constellations fight under the command of a reincarnating Athena to protect love, peace, and justice for humanity against other ancient gods like Poseidon and Hades. Their main source of power is derived from one's Cosmos, or power to control and ignite the atoms in that compose their body like a miniature universe. Some characters have their armor evolve over time, with the main five and the 12 Gold Saints having "God Cloths" due to Athena's blood repairing them, making them second only to the armors of the 12 Olympians themselves. If you see a different character where the Gold Armors, that is because the were loaned by its own or recognized by the armor itself, but at the same time you can only fully wear a Gold Cloth armor that matches your Zodiac sign, which is why Seiya was able to borrow the Sagittarius at times in canon. The series is the author's celebration of heroic romanticism, masculinity, honor, courage, and self-sacrifice. Even being called Knights of the Zodiac in many markets. It actually has a complete english dub now. Funfact: this had an impact on the creation of Sailor Moon.
