I really don't mind Daemon's story this season. He had the task of trying to unite an entire kingdom that is notoriously difficult to rally under one banner, plus all the other Scooby-Doo hijinx he was dealing with. It feels realistic to me that something like that would take some time. Plus, Alys and Simon were interesting characters so I always loved their scenes.

The Gods Eye, where the fight happens, is literally teh shore of Harrenhall. He likley washes up to the shore of Harrenhall (which is heavily theorized in the books) and dies there. Either managing to crawl to the actual tree or not, it fits. It even fits without him washing up to the shore. The gods eye lake IS harrenhall

It clearly spelled out that he will be the next greenseer the green men and the COTF need to keep the knowledge going on into the future until Blood Raven takes his place later. This whole season has now been proven to be about Alys preparing him for this role w/the Jojen like bloody paste/drink she feeds to him that helps open his 3rd eye just like it does later for Bran, along w/all the weirwood visions Daemon has there.

I find it strange when Alicent and Rhaenyra are talking in Episode 8. Nobody mentions Daeron. They know executing Aegon is a must. I assume they both know Aemond will die or get himself killed. But they agree to Aegon being executed and Alicent going her own way, while she has a legitimate son, with a dragon marching to war as they speak. No mention.

It seems like this prequel series is focusing heavily on Daenerys, possibly because they intend to bring her back later. The series opened with " 172 years before Daenerys" and now making the white walker story prominent and a vision of Dany birthing her dragons. If she's the princess who was promised, then it's the only way HOTD can salvage how D&D ended GoT.

The reason Helena gave up her son and didn’t fight it was because she has seen the future and knows the only way peace is possible is if daemon and rhaenyras true born son marries her daughter so both blacks and greens bloodline continues

I always knew that his visions would pay off lol. Its like you forgot how the GOT format was. GOT always incorporated it, and I felt it was reshreshing for HOTD. Here's a theory: I can't get it out of my head that the final season of GOT was OK to be bad because that's ONE possibility which can be rewritten by the actions in HOD. Think of this, if they see what the future holds, then maybe they can change some things from acting out AND we get told that in fact the last season of GOT is the BAD ending because they took bad decisions. So making better choices means we can get a different ending. A man can hope for a different ending for GOT... A man can hope..

A lot of people are saying that at this moment Daemon realizes he’s not the main character. But in actuality it is the moment he realizes he is the main character because he sees Bryden River who is his Great Great Grandson.
