To all that say Joe doesn't have a voice, He has his voice he just just sings a lot of falsettos to preserve his voice. If he belted it out like he used to he would lose his voice, but he definitely still has it , just listen to the rock of ages terrors from 2012. He belts it out just like he did in 1983.

MY LAST RANT: He's standing still while he's singing. If you've seen him live more than once, you'll notice he stays in one spot occasionally. He's an excellent singer so he knows when he has to protect his voice and keep his vocal chords stabilized. Listen to "Photograph," it's all high notes! There are times when he knows he shouldn't be running all over the stage. Doing that and singing puts way too much stress on your vocal chords. Ever talk when you're jogging? Try singing and doing that and then see how it feels. DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW?

PHOTOGRAPH was the song that did it for me! When I first heard this song and saw the video, in the 80’s, I was hooked. Since that time DEF LEPPARD has become my all-time favorite band. I am their biggest fan! They seem to get better and better like fine wine, better with age! They are the best group, in my humble opinion. They are head and shoulders above the rest. Whether it is a rocking tune or a rocking ballad, DEF LEPPARD does it so well. It makes perfect sense why they have been around so long! Great quality music. I will be a fan until my dying day. In fact, I want them to be played at my funeral. I wouldn’t have it any other way! Peace.

It’s pretty incredible.. don’t know any other singer who can do that after decades and decades of hard rock with no lip syncing and constant touring. Most other rock singers are shot with 1/10 the live performances these guys have done.

I lived in a big house in Isleworth, west London, separated up into different flats and bedsits. I lived in a tiny room on the top floor (milkman as a job to pay the rent... very rock ´n´ roll!!) while Joe had a flat in the basement with Bernie Torme next to him who gave my band Monro a support slot at the Marquee on only our second gig from which we got signed to a major record deal. Joe was super cool and the loveliest, down to earth guy you could ever meet. He moved out of Avenue Lodge at 10 Grove Road about a year after Pyromania blew up and bought a big, fancy gaff in Cobham, Surrey. Saw Leppard the first time on the On Through The Night tour at Cardiff´s Top Rank years before with Pete Willis on guitar and Rick Allen who had just turned sixteen, I believe. So, the inspiration for the lyrics to this song came to Joe on the bog, as I´m sure many other great song ideas/lyrics arrive from heaven. Joe had a hole in the wall and it was winter. He covered it with a photograph of Marilyn Monroe top keep out the freezing cold chill.. and the rest, as they say, is history!!
