The amount of engineering right here is insane... Defqon has the best spectacle technology available. Hands down. No close second. Only first in class brands like L Acoustics, Clay Paky, M A Lighting, etc...

Watching the lighting tech on the desk (assuming he is the programmer) being so estatic seeing everyones reaction to his work is so heat warming! Being a lighting tech myself I know how good he must be feeling, i haven't programmed anything to this level and currently dont have that level of talent to do so, so i know how proud and how good he must feel!

It is always a good feeling when people enjoy your work, regardlese of industry. Absolutely pure talent by these LDs. Not sure if theyre the programmers or not, but they seem to know their way around all the sequences so one could only imagine :) If one of them sees this, please reach out!

@@johannes-erlbeck the guy at the ma3 fullsize is the head of the timecode for the entire show. That console is mirrored to another console to the rear left of him in case it were to fail. The ma3 in the front is for pyrofdor(the pyro company). All display movements are controlled by the rear right console closest to me :)

@@johannes-erlbeck pyro i believe takes timecode in and then has their own timecoded show that is synced. Unfortunately dont knoe much re the lasers. Information i got is either observed or from people working in the FOH booth. I know they also used resolume for the displays content as well

Sound System is L Acoustics. I think it’s K1 and K2 with KS28 and K1SB. Console looks like a Yamaha DM7

There is a timecoded show for ya! The amount of work prepping this has to be incredible. I never did timecoding for more then 8 universes so far. Clever use of those crowdscanning snipers as well (instead of lasers). They do seem to be slightly underpowered in this ambient light (2r or 14r fixtures I guess?). Pyro sync was way off unfortunately. Nice registration nonetheless.

All the way to the left I assume there was the video man. The technicians confirmed me that Resolume was used for the control system when I asked them Sunday evening. Does anyone know a video where I can see the view of the video guy? ...and out of interest: Does anyone know the company they work for? I guess they work for a company that Q-Dance only commissioned with the technical support/implementation?

All video mixing is done behind stages and not FOH at Defqon.1. Sadly no information on who does the video mixing from my side. Suprised theyte not using black magic constellations

Not sure. The MA3 behind it to the left (off camera) is in mirror mode. Ie if the main one fails, the other is already running active/active. All manual controls outside of tinecode are 100% exactly mimiced 1 for one on it.

Since the MA3 had very big software issues MA released a version of the MA2 software for the MA3 layout. Since then you can run both softwares on the MA3

Even the phone has better audio then the streams of Q dance it self..... I stopped listening yesterday with no video its not same feeling anymore like last years. Such a shame not every one likes mainstage. I only wanted to see blue and black 😢so disappointed in the Q dance they cant pull such thing off anno ,2024 many others live stream even smaller events do it. So its just Q dance doesnt care if they did for the family like tomorrowland ultra you name it then they would do it no matter what. So in end it's only about the money with Q dance and not the fans 😔
