Wow, I’ve tried dozens of videos. This is the only one that doesn’t race through or go to slowly. It doesn’t skip the magic difficult part. Great video. It’s the only tutorial that makes any sense at all.

Excellent exposition; my previous efforts were always ultimately successful, but by the time I’d ended up with a passable result, the tie itself was a usually a crumpled mess: Your explanation is perfect - understanding the key stage of rotating the second bow to the vertical behind the first, and then using the doubled leading edge to start the pass through the ‘tunnel’ is what did the trick for me (rather than my standard method of using a forefinger to try to poke a crumpled wad of fabric through a too-small hole). I’ve seen no other video which gives this element of tying the importance it deserves, or that so clearly demonstrates how to implement this practical method. Many thanks.

There are also clip on bow ties, which you don’t have to tie, so ones you do are self tieing
