This is my favorite Deftones song ever... Do not focus on so much the actual content.. Chino took a dream he had and transformed it into a MASTERPIECE. This song is flawless, eerie, dynamic, beautiful, disturbing, and GENIUS.

Yes! Yes this song is creepy and very beautiful. It's why I bought the album so many years ago. I don't often say that a song is "perfect" but every note of this... all the ambient noise... The concept. It is absolutely perfect and is this band's best song. Frank NIT (the DJ/sound designer) really makes this song what it is.

You shouldn’t take the lyrics so literally. Chino is not like most lyricists in metal, he has a more painterly style, and is more interested in the feelings he can evoke in the listener. He doesn’t really talk about the subject matter of his songs anymore as he would prefer it to be up to the listener’s interpretation! I always take this song to be more about having a very intense sexual connection with someone, and how that can feel overwhelming and like you can’t control it. Don’t be put off, they’re a more interesting and rewarding band than almost any other you could dig into!

Don't let this dissuade you from listening to more Deftones, they truly are one of the best bands out there, they've been going since 1988 and released their 1st album in 95, they're still active today and are working on their next album. They're awesome and have no many great songs, listen to Tempest or Beauty school.

Deftones!!! really glad you guys are diving into it. They have been my favorite band for a long time. They have so much range...you have mellow, atmospheric songs like this and then you have songs where they just come right at you with heavy riffs and screaming. A lot of different vibes and this band will take you for a journey. If you love this vibe you will adore the song "Sextape" by them. It comes off the Diamond Eyes album. Watch the music video too, its beautiful! I think you would also enjoy the whole Saturday Night Wrist album by them, but if I had to request one song it would be "Sextape." Love the reactions, you are beautiful souls!

This album and song in particular were SO influential to me and my friends as 17 year old total fucking art weirdos with a darker sense of humor than we probably should have had. There are so many hooks... The sinister guitars. The round, looming, bassline and bouncy drums that almost have an R&B ballad feel. Chino's asthmatic vocals that have a desperate quality. The ambience of the water and the sound of air moving through the drain of a tub... The fact that it sounds sad, creepy, sexy AND even romantic is what makes this song and album in general what it is. White Pony has probably the best production, arrangements and thematic elements of any other album of its time. There is also a song on it called 'Feiticeira' which is very similar in concept but from the female perspective. White Pony explores Taoist concepts of opposites in that way.

That was a funny reaction to watch :). I'm a Deftones fan since their very first album. Digital Bath was always one of the perfect album songs for me. But as a standalone track I would recommend songs like "Hole in the earth" or "Minerva". They both have great choruses. I also recommend Chinos Side Project "Team Sleep". Ataraxia would be great.
