I love this era of Deftones. Coming off the success of White Pony and then putting out a dark and moody album like self-titled. Amazing. I've been a fan since 98, but it's something about this era from 2003-2005 that I love the most. That was when I first saw them live. They were finishing up the touring cycle in late 2004. I was also finishing up high school at that time. Great memories. It was also badass seeing Chino rock the chucks with tube socks and messy hair. No fucks given. \m/

Been a Deftones fan for a long time but recently got into this album and have been listening non stop. It's helping me get through one of the toughest times of my life. Nobody 20 years ago that had been around as long as they have were making music that was still relevant. Nobody back then could hang with new artists. Deftones not only hangs, they are still setting the bar and not many others are hitting it. I think they will be relevant forever or at least until they decide to stop. I fucking love this band and I appreciate what they give the world.

I've seen them live in concert at the Filmore, NC in 2010 (2011?). They sounded very good, even live. But when I came back to youtube and watched footage of that concert it wasn't as good as I remembered. I think that the energy of the band is something you have to feel to understand, and no recording device can capture it.
