The reason why I don’t go low, is because the team player are so annoying to deal with, teamkilling me or taking my kill, shooting me while I am on an enemy’s tail while they desperately try to get a kill. Maybe it’s a skill issue on my side.

I always liked this thing, I found a lot of success with it. At the BR, it's a nice jack of all trades, but turns well enough to hang with most stuff. That single .50 cal REALLY helps.

Yea I feel u! Grinding this event from 8.7 and higher was already hard in RB, and a 3K mission points battle was among the good ones; but after the pack sales went on, it feels like if i'm forced to do a job i hate. Rank 4-5 can be a problematic too, do to there are always a few Ju-288 that just keep running around and nobody can kill them in the team. And if try to play a Ju-288 its guaranteed the 2/3 your team is in a bomber as well (or in a Ju-288), leaving nothing for u to bomb. Tough i do had some epic moments in mixed battles, I even had a 24 kill one with 13.5K mission points, and 4-5k points is my average.

Ive been enjoying the beaufighter in 9.3 matches. Just for the torpedo, but I get god mode quite a lot so its worth it for the 20,000 bonus. Its firepower surprises the jet pilots quite a lot. Yeah its quite fun playing the older aeroplanes in higher rank matches

It's even more insane in ground RB. It gets 2 x 100 lbs bomb drops, and the fifty cal can kill so many tanks at the BR - I once got a 15 kill run with it. Galer's F3F is easily the best starter premium (and biplane) in the game. I've played 1130 matches with it in there.

Wow, that was some insane fighting over there at the start! In all seriousness this may be controversial but I would prefer that all the people that joined the game for top tier aircraft and/or tanks went all playing top tier premiums. I previously joined the game for Bf-109s, Spitfires, P-51s, Yak3s and all other ww2 props, but the decrease in average skill level (followed by increase in airfield camping, amount of bombers (looking at you ju288c players), etc) at that br range has killed the fun for me. Started playing top tier around late 2022 because many skilled players I know had moved there, but now with 16v16 and the whole “fly low or die” meta the gameplay is shit there as well. If most people who play props only to grind moved there thought ww2 props would be fun again imho.

I think you overestimate those players. I find it annoying that 1.3 is only noob fights, with my favorite being the He 51, And I can’t exactly uptier it unlike in Arcade, so I end up fighting seal clubbers or noobs only which kinda sucks when you like late biplanes. Thankfully, the I-153 exists and has allowed me to get 5-6 kills per realistic match on a more regular basis thanks to it’s maneuverability at 2.3. Honestly, getting only 1-2 kills per match feels absolutely wrong for me, as an arcade player. Flying in a straight line to shoot one guy in the face and get shot by him at the same time ain’t fun. But I love using the I-153 to fool players. And seeing other I-153 on the enemy teams… yeah I can understand why they’d think I’d be an easy target

My take is that there are just some players that don’t care about ww2 planes and just want the modern jets so they use the only way to get to the semi modern stuff with the premiums. The same is of course also true for tanks and probably the 4 boat players too.
